sure it's great that Quake I, II, Doom, Duke3d is being ported to the gp2x.

but am I the only one that don't give a damn about it?

hell, I played thoes games almost 10 years ago already.

and in NO WAY is the 3.5" screen and controls gonna be as fun as on my 17" LCD with a mouse/keyboard and full speaker sound that runs MUCH faster and smoother.

I couldn't care less about running a crappily slower version on a mini screen. as it's an old game that I've played so many time already.

Yeah, and what's all this excitement about mobile phones? I've got a phone attached to the wall in my flat already!

why dont you just die or something?
is your penis so small that you have to disrespect peoples work like this?

I know, I also enjoy playing Quake while walking around downtown. Carrying my tower and LCD with me get funny looks, and I sometimes have trouble with the extension cord, but I can't for the life of me imagine why anyone would want something small and convenient to carry to play on.

And honestly, every human being on the planet has bought and played that game, as it's required of everyone once they turn five by the International Council on Video Games. It's a physical impossibility that somebody hasn't played it before. And all the way through. Also, such play makes enjoying again impossible due to the brain surgery.

If you don't give a fuck about ports then don't play them, no-one's forcing you to. Is anyone else getting sick of the morons that have been appearing here just lately?

I haven't played it, but then again I live in a third-world country where the International council doesn't hold much clout.

That said, I am looking forward to playing Quake for the first time on the GP2X :)

I play the GBA version of Doom all the time and that's an even smaller screen with worse controls. It's still a lot of fun and I can't exactly bring my computer into the bathroom when I take a shit. Well, I could bring my laptop but that gets a little hot and I don't want to have to worry about balancing it when I drop a big stinky load.

I don't care much for the ports eather, but it's nice to see that they work :) You should also know that quake will most likely look quite horrible on your 17" LCD since it's res is the native one of the gp2x that will get stretched to death on your great big screen, blurr on.

Playing on 320*240 a game which res is 320*240 or lower(as for emulated consoles) on a rather small screen(allthough 3,5" are great for a handheld) looks much more enjoyable then spread across a screen whose native res is 1280*1024 or more ;)

I can't play NES or SNES on my LCD, I get sick of it, but on a handheld it will look like old memories got back in a very sharp and crisp way :)
