Gyroball

This is still on my smc and gets played pretty regularly. I think it's a great wee game and uses the GP's joystick perfectly. It's one of only two stand-alone games on my card, the rest is emulation and that shows how good it is.
But it was never completed. 5 levels and no timer/scoring. I'd love to see someone have a crack at finishing this off.
Anyone else think this deserves attention?

Well, see, I started also making a clone of Marble Madness quite like Gyroball, and I named it Roboll. (Originally it was going to be Roball, but I typoed the name when I saved the soundtrack module, resulting in Roboll, and thought it looked better that way. Info tidbit! :D)

It was going great, but then my HD got messed up. I need to repair my bootsector so the filesystem settings are correct again.

Needless to say, my source code to Roboll is inaccessible to me at the moment. HOPEFULLY it's only temporary. I hope I can recover my source code.

Until then, I gave The Incredible Machine a shot. :) (I'm not porting it or anything, I'm making a clone, so it's not going to be 100% accurate to the original). (I'm talking about the older The Even More Incredible Machine version.)

But anyway, someone should definately make some more levels for Gyroball.

Hey, thats a great little game! Thanks for pointing that one out.
Shame there isn't a Shockwave emulator for GP32, cos the Miniclip version is great

This was nearly unplayable because of the faulty diagonals on my old nlu. I have to try it with my blu+, since it`s joystick works perfect.

I loved The Incredible Machine! Originally played it on a very old mac running system 7 I think. Great great game, you'll get a lot of interest in this I'm sure. Good luck!

Do it, you won't regret it, just experiment with different thicknesses until its perfect.
yeah, i know that solution, but im too lazy to do it right now maybe in the summer vacation :)

gyroball is really good fun! i'm reminded fondly of sitting at my amiga with a trackball, guiding marble madness

if the source is unearthed more levels would be cool. as would an ending screen, rather than a fenix runtime error  along those lines, it would be cool to see the ball "beam up" into the light at the end of the level.

i'm cautious in suggesting the game could use more depth (though i think the world COULD use more marblemadness clones hehe) ... walls would be a first step, other obsticles. another cool idea would be a hiscore and points per square--so that levels could branch and the harder path would be more rewarding.

but as i said, it's fun as it is! i was sold on installing the fenix run time B)

I agree, it doesn't really need too many different obstacles, it works great the way it is. Just a few more levels would do it, and a scoring system.
