Did Someone Say Rock Music?

ok

actually listened to the song now

dude, its fucking awesome

kind of typical of the indie/emo/posthardcore sound of the moment but the pure talent of the musicians gives it a great feel, and it doesn't whine which is brilliant!

nice

I'm so overwhelmed by the positive response! thanks guys, its very much appreciated! :)

We're all studying at Westminster Uni London, thats where we met...living in halls.
The plan is to get gigging around London, particularly Camden from February.

Anyway, like the site says it's our first demo, the next should be out by the end of January...if anyone wants to be on our mailing list which I started today ;) then pm me.

thanks again!

John

...sorry but the winter demo only has that one track on it...sounds dumb but it takes a lot of time to get the recordings mixed and mastered as our bassist does it in uni in his free time...the plan to start with is 'little and often' ;)

the next demo should be out soon like I said, and that'll be up on the site when its ready :)

we really need to get into a studio and get someone else to handle the recording side of things so we can get a proper EP or something out there B)

edit: if you want the instrumental piece that was originally going to be on the winter demo as a second track it can be found at the Shenakima site below :D

XP service pack 2 Doh!

Turned off pop up blocker and it still didn't work but I pasted each link onto the main window and got them like that. Moff to listen to 'em now.

BTW the single reminds me a little bit of Turin Brakes. Good luck with it. :)

Nice track!

It's always good to see a decent new band around, especialy with all the dross thats floating around at the moment :)

Just a comment about the mixing on the track. It's great, until you get to the full guitar section at the end, when the vocals seem to be getting a bit lost in the backing. Need to bring the vocals up a bit in the mix. Other than that, it's a great track - keep 'em coming.

Btw... if anyone wants to listen to any of the tracks I've been involved in, take a look here :-

My contribution was guitars and backing vocals :p

Aint part of it anymore, as it all became too buisinesslike, and it felt like a bit of a 'product' rather than a band, but hey-ho - the music is stilll there :)
