The Communication Cube

Sorry for not being more precise with my question - could you compare them to regular PSX or XBOX sticks?
What do you mean by floating?
I'm looking for sticks to put in an arduino project where I don't have a lot of room. And I don't like those slide pads like on Pandora, PSP or New 3DS. I read that the Vita pads are optical and not resistive so those might live longer than regular pads and I wouldn't have to fiddle with calibrating magnetic sensors. Alas Switch sticks are not an option either, I dislike those too.
With floating I mean like the Pandora and the PSP, they have more of a disc compared to a stick, which makes it feel more floating.
The PSP and Xbox controller feel like you put the stick at an angle which provides some resistance.
The Vita has tiny sticks, they are comfortable and smooth on top, but they give little resistance compared to full sized controllers making them a bit more floating.
The Nintendo Switch 1 Joycon sticks are larger have more resistance, but I would still think they are somewhat comparable. The Vita ones cannot 'click' though like the Switch ones.
The Switch 2 joycons appear to have less resistance, they Switch 1 feels like they required a tiny bit more force. I guess modern controllers are 'lighter' in use?

I just compared all of them (PSP/Vita/PS4/XB1/XSX/Switch1/Switch2) and I think the Vita ones are more tiny joystick then floating Pandora-style.

The sticks on the Vita 2000 model are build differently from the 1000 I have. They apparently feel very similar but I did read that people complain they broke faster, but I don't have real numbers on that.

Thanks for the elaborate response. I might have to look into Hall sensor sticks after all.

Mmmh...
Some company tested a blimp flying wind turbine (lifted with helium).
Watching the photos and video I can't help wanting to attach 2 o 3 phosphorescent hands behind it and use it as a clock face in the sky... (or maybe just two rings of leds or something)
(by "behind" i mean to the side closer to the 4 wings and with the shorter central bulge)
But do you think a 40m diameter clock would be visible at 2000m altitude ?
It's like a less than 20 floors tower on top of a 2000m mountain as seen from the beach... It wouldn't be visible, would it ?

Honnestly: Are peaple thinking it would make sense for me to also learn English via Duolingo?
I know myself that my English is quite poor, i did learn a lot by using this Forum and the Discord, and watching english speaking Youtube Channels, Ashens, Dankpods, 8Bitguy, Techmoan, Dieselcreek, (and lot more) so i would say it would be difficult to start whit the Basics again "One Tea please"

I did out of Curiousity start a few years ago whit a bit Italien, and this was really quite basic "Une Expresso por favore" ..

I dont actually know how big my English Language Niveau is, there was an Online Test for French i did a few Months ago, so it might be this is also possible for English, i know i understand the English Youtubers, as well as the US President (only the Words, not what he means), (nobody do this)

I had English in Evening Shool, and 3 Years on "Berufsschule", but around 9 Years in my normal Shool i had French..

I have Duolingo allready for French, there its did work for me allready some how, and if i do the Real Stuff, its brings something, just im over the Week too tired to make an Level, and just do the Word Training so i keep my Strike and the Owl dont be anoying ..

Repeating stuff every day helps with remembering. So I guess it's better compared to nothing. But learning it incorrectly would also be a problem I guess.

For writing, I still use spellchecking so it will usually tell me if I made a typo. Sometimes I forget how some words are written, and spellcheckers can help remind me how to do it. If I don't have a spellchecker I have to search the answer online, which will cost more time.
