Release Emu EX Plus Alpha ported to the Pandora

Yes, I also appreciate the history of skeezix's launcher for launching emulators, but I must admit, the .emu front end does allow pairing of bluetooth keypads and setting the keymaps of them much easier than any other solution I've seen.

On Pandora, the GBA.EMU was the only one who even played the Classic NES Titles, allthough i found them a bit slower than there non Emu EX Alpha + Counterparts, but i used the CC Pandora.. now on Pyra im quite happy whit the Emu EX Alpha + Emulators, but this thing is a bit faster.. allthough Ducktape MGBA and the GBA Core of the Retro Arch Emulator also play the Classic NES Titles on Pyra..

MD.emu has a better interface, if there's a way to make it faster I'll stick with it

I agree.

For me using Pandafe solves most of this problem though and ties my main emulators together in one unified interface (keeps track of most played/favorites/last played). Option to auto-search by typing the rom name is blazingly fast, especially if you look for something in 1000's of roms. Takes some time to understand how the program works, but worth every minute. Love it.

Never tried it, I will do.

After I set up Retroarch on my PC I found out it's really useful to have the same interface for all the emulators, but I'm pretty sure it will be slow on my Pandora.

It is similar but Pandafe is not as integrated and advanced as Retroarch. With retroarch you can also configure settings in a unified manner. Pandafe is mainly an advanced rom and program starter with some organizing and tracking capabilities.
Just give it a try, and if you like it and need some help feel free to ping me or ask a question here

Thanks, it's good to have more recent alternatives for WonderSwan, Mednafen is pretty old.

Brillant, thank you - rotation is quite important for the Gunpeis or Beatmania - will report how all works tomorrow!

EDIT with clocking CC to 800 I find Final Lap (classic b/w Wonderswan) and Golden Axe (Color/Crystal) working fine and without problems. Found the Autorotation as on by default, nice, I think it was Nazo Ni Kuni (name?), a plattformer, where you tilt the Swan for some of its levels.

Wow, really haven't played WS in ages, I loved the two Final Laps, Beatmania, its versions of Bust-A-Move, Shanghai, the Digimon fighting game and the two b/w Densha De Gos when I discovered the WS around 2011. The Tekken Card game is also very brilliant. Most games I have are better than would-have-been on the Gameboy (Color).

MDemu seems not working, if i select "Open content" or "Recent content" the program closes... I don't see meaningful informations or errors on the log.

EDIT:
SWANemu does exactly the same too.

EDIT2:
Seems like that every emulator with the menu label "Open content" just closes.

MCXemu works, but it have a different "label" ("Load game")

EDIT3:

If I press B button over the "Open content" it tells "no folder is set", but seems like I'm unable to select a folder from the interface... everything I select returns me to the main menu

EDIT4:
I tried to remove the previous configuration in appdata to let the new emulators create a new one, but nothing changed, them just closes before letting me browse for a game.

Yes {X} is cancel, and so will just quit, {B} is validate

Oops, forgot to update MSXemu... it's done now

When in the "OpenMedia" part, go up to the "^" icon top left and validate, go find more choices.

In WSemu, I chose Audio Buffer at 6 and now Final Lap Special (WSC) runs flawlessly :) no Audio stutter at 600 MHz.
Will try some other "later" games that had very minor audio stutter here yday at default audio and no CC overclock at 800 (like the b/w Final Lap). I think Audio Buffer at 6 is better than the default at 3 :)

Damn, I didn't realize that the key mapping was changed from the previous versions  I'll have to reset my muscle memory.

MDemu seems faster than before

I was hoping that the new version of MSXemu solved the flickering scrolling of Psycho World, but not :( there is still no MSX emulator on the Pandora able to play that game correctly...

Lately I'm using SNES emulators, and found out that SNES9x4P seems working better than both the EMU EX PLUS versions in my case (Rebirth Pandora).

I'm not sure if the emulator itself became heavier with newer versions, or maybe it's the Android-Style interface that makes things slower, but on both the EMU EX PLUS versions for example on "Final Fantasy V" I have little sound lags/scratches here and there, and the game is a little slow, even at 1 Ghz, it's still playable well, but this becomes very visible when i use the "fast forward" (and on RPG especially I use it a lot) because the sound really have a lot of lagging and the frame skip is really visible.

As a comparison, with SNES9x4P I can run the same game without issues at all, it's faster even at 600 Mhz, there is no sound lag even when I use fast forward, and while the "auto frameskip" is active even there, I can hardly recognize when this happens.

I tried to replicate the same configuration for both the emulators, but the options available from their interfaces are different.

Yeah I tend to gravitate to that emulator, just seems to work well and also I'm not a fan of the EMU EX style of interface, just find it clunky.

I like the EMU EX interface mostly because it's standardized between emulators, has a lot of configurable options like keys remapping and an easy way to connect to external controllers... also it has a list of the last played games, that is a thing I really miss on PickleLauncher.

Anyway the interface loses it's usefulness if the emulator itself has issues.

Yes, SNES9X4P is still my go-to SNES emulator on the Pandora. P-SNES is pretty good but lacks a few features. Emu EX Plus is good for games that don't work in the other ones but seems to have worse performances.
