The New Ultimative Smaltalk Threadt (lots of Off Topic)

I can't "like" this.
Indeed, that always feels weird with such posts to me as well.
Still, he lived for far longer than doctors told him upon the discovery of his illness. 76 years with a degenerative disease is an accomplishment in its own rights.
He lived more than twenty times the prognosis. From what I have read, seen and heard he was a man with a good sense of humour, despite his terrible illness. That is inspirational.
Now that Einstein's spiritual successor is among the stars (and the black holes), who's gonna be (if there will be one) the next Hawking ?
The world certainly could use one or more.

It is known that fearing death on a daily basis encourages you to relax a little bit, because learning to live with it is not a choice but a necessity. Sometimes I think about how large space is, and how despite how many we are on this planet, we are nothing really significant.
An ant dying on a man's scale might be more critical than Humanity disappearing to the universe. Once put in perspective, our lives don't matter much at all but to ourselves so chill out, everything's fine in the end.:)

Fear death? I really don't get that. I understand the fear of dying (pain, discomfort, helplessness, etc.), but I cannot wrap my head around the fear of death (i.e. the state of being dead).

That way of thinking and rejecting what seems to be assigning a higher value to one life over another has resulted in some people acting like I am heartless. Funny thing is I often go out of my way to preserve the lives of others (like these wasps that keep making it into my house somehow...I just put them on the other side of the wall so they can get on with life instead of wondering why they can't get past the window).

I wonder how many pigs were killed when he died.

Oh sure, this is quite tricky. I myself try to spare a life when I see one (except maybe spiders - I won't splat'em but they might go down the pipes or into the vacuum if they wander too much and I can't bother with helping them out), especially flies, mosquitoes and wasps. I have no problem with them as long as they don't crap everywhere/wander close to me.
On the other hand, I'm less troubled with eating meat and all considering how crual nature can be. But I am aware of my hypocrisy around the whole thing.

All in all, I just try to respect each and every life, while keeping in mind that there are bigger matters at hand than what I can have an effect on. So I don't really go out of my way to adress most issues, but neither do I ignore them.

Now remember kids, these thoughts are performed by a non-professional relativist-half-humanist-half-nihilist. Don't try this at home. (nor anywhere else)

Every time, after i shorten my finger nails, i cant fold out the scissors of my Swiss Army Knife :(
Sad story of my life..
Cut them all except for The One Nail...

The One Nail to pull them all.

*Pull all the things that need a nail.

Then call yourself Lord of the Nail, and show what power you have over those who do not have..
The One Nail.

Or i buy me a SAK whit One Hand Open Tools, or i wait until they get a bit longer, and use until then the Main Blade instead of the Scissors..
On this Wenger/Victorinox Delemont, because of the Locking Mechanism, the Main Blade Hinge is pretty light to travel,
I even can close this knife whit one hand..

I’m currently using a GBA Everdrive on my DS Lite,
But I also have the Everdrive for the Gameboy/Color
Works pretty good, whit my Gameboy Color and the GBA SP,
But after the GBA Everdrive plays GB and GBC Roms since the latest Update, I’m mostly use the GBA Everdrive..

I primarily use the original, so that is what I would get one for. It looks like there are now three different GB versions, and i was thinking of going for the x3 (cheapest one) since I don't mind carrying my Pokemon cart if I plan to play it, and I don't really like using save states.

The GBA option sounds nice, but trying to fix mine up will be expensive ( I have a dying screen, plus I want to pretty it up some) so I figure I will save all that for later. Not sure I would want to use a GBA for my GB and gbc games (I figure I might as well play them on my Pandora if I don't use the original hardware).

Come one, man... you have so many S.A.K.'s... open the elements that can be unfolded, put them at a 45 degree angle, this will bend the metal lip that keeps them in place. Keep that overnight, or play open-close. At certain moment, the sand that has gone in between should give in and you will be able to open it up again. Else: Use the file... takes a bit longer than cutting... but you have more precision with it.

Or I wait until my fingernail “tip” got strong enough,
Yesterday I was able to fold out the scissors again,

Originally i bought me the GB Everdrive because the GBA Everdrive wasn’t out and I wanted to play lots of GB Games on my GBA SP whit out the need of the modules

I’m currently carry my DS Lite whit some DS Games and the GBA Everdrive in the Switch Case,

My Pandora or the GPD Win also plays GB GBC GBA Games but it’s cooler on at least half original hardware

I’m currently missing my GBA Micro, but the Screen on the DS is much brighter and it’s a clamshell, so maybe this is the better way for playing Super Mario Land..

I can’t decide which Handheld Computer I wants to tale whit me every day: (as long I don’t have my Pyra)

The Pandora is great on Emulators: every Emulator works whitout problem because they got made for it
Whyle the GPD Win also works for Emulator, but they’re ar made for Big Computers
So on Pandora i have all the emulator I want to play (expect of Dreamcast, as it’s a CC First Batch Unit

On the contra side: the Pandora is pretty old, it’s got some issues whit the Display Background Light, and I ditnt God Bluetooth Audio to work..
And it’s runs whit max 800-900 mhz, so it’s a bit slow

The GPD Win is a relatively new Device (got I last year)
Whit a much faster CPU and it runs every Windows X86 Programm compatible whit Windows 10
So my 3D PC Games (Brütal Legend, Farming Simulator, Rigs of Rods, Elder Scrolls Oblivion, Fallout New Vegas, Garrys Mod, Spintires, Half Life 2 , Portal, Crysis etc works on the go, but I ditnt had much luck whit Emulators :
In fact: Gameboy/Gameboy Color , GBA, NES SNES and N64 works for me, I ditnt got PlayStation, DS and the Sega Systems to work..
Also it’s Batterie ditnt löst Long if I play these Windows 3D Games..
And it’s gets pretty warm, the Fan is notable noisily and it’s Keyboard isn’t that great..

So the GPD is a cool Handheld, but the Pandora/Pyra might be the Better EDC Solution
