C-dogs Port

try to redownload it.

and when you mention "extraction wizzard", what do you mean? the zip thingy that was delivered with window$ XP?

You got it, the one included in xp. And I've tried re-downloading multiple times with no success...
edit: fixed it; transfered the file to my laptop and for some reason it unzipped there...wierd.
This game is great! Cant wait to see an update!

Loki666, you should upgrade this with music and sound and lots of bugfixes and stuff and remove all the PC stuff, things might say press any key or press escape to exit to say press select to exit and put this in Mark's GP32 contest.

yeah, sorry for the lack of updates... was a bit lazzy, but hopefully for you i just lost my job... so except some updates in the coming days...

does anyone have bugs to report?

c-dogs v0.3a
with music (thanx to mr.mirko) and highscores
for music the game eats mod files, all you have to do is add some lines in MENUSONG.CFG (for in-menu musics) and GAMESONG.CFG (for in-game music), and ofcourse add the .mod file in gp:\gpmm\cdogs
have fun
(rename file to zip and move content to gp:\gpmm)

Are their still problems with the map? I recall when I last played this it was annoying to walk because of funky issues with revealing whats ahead of you. I love this port btw, i hopw you continue to perfect it

I realize i'm doing this at the risk of sounding like an idiot but um.... how the hell do i do this? I mean, how do i add these lines and such?

Open up the CFG for ingame music using any text editor, word, wordpad, notepad, open office, anything. When your in there just copy the lines that are there but replace the mod file at the end with your custom modfiles. They must be .mod.

im assuming ".mod" is some kind of music file my newbie mind hasnt heard of , how do i get my wma and mp3's into ".mod"?

of course i cud be complitely wrong in my analogy and missed the target and hit my head o_O

help .. please >_<

If I remember correctly, mod is an old Amiga format, don't know much about it, just that it's sort of like Midi, just without the dependency on an actual MIDI chip. So I doubt there's an MP3 -> MOD converter.

Edit:

I was on the right track:

MOD files are music files containing 2 parts:
(1)
a bank of digitized samples
(2)
sequencing information describing how and when to play the samples

@loki: Thank you, a brillant game. Plays very smoothly..

Suggestions: saving of profiles and highscores,
bigger fonts. Thats all!

Keep up the great work!
