yeah I did get up on the wrong foot. But as I was saying, I do not understand the whining: You are running your own website so you know how to implement a privacy notice correctly? So why do you claim, that other websites are becoming broken? That is clearly bad programming/design. And yes, if a website uses too much javascript and doesn't load because of that, you can simply not use it. The principles are good in theory as you say, but web designers need to start giving a fuck and implement them correctly. Not much of a change then. You had to have a cookie notice prior to the GDPR anyway, so how many notices do you need to agree to really, if the webdesigners actually did their job? one. I do not see a problem with that. I am just sick of people on the train/in public whining about facebook and being spied on, then when something is finally done to prevent this, going on to whine that they have to read privacy agreements and click a button. My fiancee is so annoyed, because people at her office were talking about this before ("facebook is so evil blablabla" and then posting some status update on facebook...), still using whatsapp for all their internal organizational stuff and now that they are not allowed to anymore (due to good reasons actually), they are still whining because it is so inconvenient to actually talk to each other...
sorry, I am just bitter...
