I still find it rediculous. Its not banned for graphic violence (at least not by todays standards), Not banned for language, Not banned for nudity, Why are they banned? They're banned because half a century ago a jackass decided to take over the world. I fail to see why germany bans them, i mean, Hitler is not revered in germany, so its not like the people playing them are killing some great martyr or something. If anything, there would be a sense of vindication gained by fighting against such evil creatures as Nazi's >_>
Tis foolish.
Bingo...its because germany doesn't like to be reminded of their own, erm, ownage
No you fools, don't be ignorant smartass know-it-alls, its banned because there are STILL NAZI'S IN GERMANY (also in the United States, the UK, Canada, Australia, and Iceland, incidentally), and anything promoting the Nazi ideology is considered hostile psychology ..
And yes, Wolf3D very definitely promotes the "Strong Nazi" persona. If you can't see this, just count how many times you've been killed by Nazi's while playing it...
Discussion of censorship aside... can anyone help me get this one to run?
I extracted the six GPEs into a directory called Wolf3d in the root. In that directory, I created another directory called Wolf3d and placed the W6L files from my PC's Wolfenstein 3d installation (full commercial version). When I try to start it up, I get a black screen and am kicked back to the menu. Help? Thanks,
saehn
i dled the first package with the 2 gpe's (cause those are the only 2 you need for spear of desteny and wolf3d) so just make a folder for wolf3d and for SoD then put the game files in the same directories... they work great for me (havent tested on fw 2.1.0 yet tho)
