Personally I love the SD label thing. I'm now keen to buy a few cheap 4GB cards instead of one 32GB. Dragoon from the German forums posted a link on the blog today, to his current set of designs:

I did a test print today, and they look good. If I get time I'll make up some blanks and post them here (.psd). I'll also try to meet any label requests when I'm in a Photoshoppin' mood.

Requests and contributions: GO!

Nice labels. Thank you all who have contributed.
Kinda wished there is an empty space in the :pandora1: to hold an extra card.

Any suggestions on brand of labeling paper that won't peel over time and are there any glossy labels?

Personally, I think they look better as actual icons for a touchscreen interface on the menu :p

ahh labels

I made a load for the gp32 aggges ago when i first came to the site. I set up a website and hosted a few labels me and ED has made. I dont know if the sites still up somewhere ill have a look. The idea went down the pan really when the gp2x game out and people started using sd cards, the hight storage ment there was no point in have labels really.

heres one of the ones i made for the gp32, nice to see if someone could adapt it and find a use

Excellent stuff!

I think it would actually be a neat idea if craigix and co actually sold sheets of SD labels. Though I guess they'd get in trouble if they used copyrighted logos and names....

Anyways, some recommendations from me:
  • TurboGrafx-16 / PC-Engine
  • Atari
  • Atari ST
  • Sega CD
  • Doom
  • MAME
  • MESS
  • GP2X / Wiz (for the non-Pandora folks)
Some more generic ones would be nice too... for those of us who have large SD cards with many different emulators going on it. Personally, I plan to have one for console systems, one for computers, and another for ports (Doom, ScummVM, Quake, etc). So for example, maybe a label that just has a generic joystick on it, or a close-up of a keyboard that wouldn't necessarily imply any specific computer.

I think we've just found the perfect use for the new Zink printers ;)
The Zink papers already sticky backed and..
* Protected by a polymer overcoat, providing water resistance and image durability.
* Affordable for everyday use.
* Long lasting and designed to resist fading from exposure to light, heat and humidity.

I'm definitely getting one of those printers :D

I think I would rather have one 32 gig over a ton of 4 gigs (even with the labels). If buying small cards happened to be cheaper then this could work well.

Anyone know where to find glossy labels to print these label on? They will have to be quite thin as to not interfere with the insertion process.

@WizardStan - Thanks for pointing out my hidden innuendo.

@gruso - Thanks for the link. I was kind of hoping for something standardized that I would've have to cut with scissors, but I suppose that would have to do.

Hi guys, great idea - one i've been thinking of but waiting till the prices of cards have come down, those in the UK play.com have got 2x2gb cards for £5.99 so only £3 each, its also good to limit the roms instead of collecting every rom set! just play the good games guys, we only have so many hours in each day/year!

Anyway found some great images you could use straight off or edit with;

Obviously they are for the wii, but you can still use a good number of those.

Plus a few more here you could use as a base, nice simple logos with transparent backgrounds when saved, might come in handy for someone.
