Yeah, what were they thinking with that vfat partition? It won't be long until we see reports of dead NAND user partitions.it now seems my pre-release Wiz is happily running all of the 1.0 firmware not some hacked up halfway house.

Thank you for this! it allowed me to downgrade my wiz back to 1.000 from 1.01 ...101 has terrible screen tearing, I can live without better video for nowit now seems my pre-release Wiz is happily running all of the 1.0 firmware not some hacked up halfway house.

Yes, that's correct. If by better video you just mean the video player, then you should be able to copy the video player from the new firmware and dump it into the 1.00 firmware. As far as I'm aware, the video and flash apps are a single file in /usr/gp2x.
I can't confirm this, but I'm not using PicoDrive. I think 1.0.1 is the best choice and recommend the update...I upgraded to 1.01 and i have to say the screen tearing was a hell of alot worse. I know some have said its in the mind, but when using picodrive after the upgrade the tearing was pretty constant. Ive downgraded again and it's still there but it's not half as bad as the new firmware.
TCPMP is the video player? Wow, it was so good on the Zodiac too. Must have been the hardware assist module that made it perform great."TCPMP.gpe" is the video player, "EmflashPlayer.gpe" the Flash application.
It can be worse if they changed the refresh rate. I doubt everyone's just imagining it.I don't know why the tearing would be worse... I think maybe it is just in peoples minds?
But why would they change it? I would imagine all they did was change the menu so it uses portrait mode.It can be worse if they changed the refresh rate. I doubt everyone's just imagining it.I don't know why the tearing would be worse... I think maybe it is just in peoples minds?
They arbitrarily change things all the time. Why did they keep changing between portrait and landscape before release to begin with? But why would they change it? I would imagine all they did was change the menu so it uses portrait mode.

Is there source available for this on the Wiz?
