The Official Best Deals Topic

This is my first post on these boards, and I have a GP2X coming in a couple of weeks. Excited I am!

Now, down to business. I know it's been a while since this thread's been updated, but I hopefully have some useful links. Those folks in Melbourne Australia may not be familiar with MSY, but suffice it to say they are a cheap cheap place with little service (generally, there are exceptions). The prices, however, are exceptional to say the least.

Updated daily, they put a 3 page PDF document out with their (cash/EFT) prices. Contained therein are the following:

Some of today's offerings:
USB External Card Rdr AUD$11.00 (inc. GST)
Generic* 1GB SD Card AUD$29.00 (inc. GST)
Generic* 2GB SD Card AUD$61.00 (inc. GST)
*Ask nicely, and they likely will have the A-Data range of SD cards also, as I know they are closely linked with a distributor in Melbourne who push an awful lot of A-Data stuff out to the market. Pricing will still be good, but a few dollars more than the generics above.

Also, for Aussie IT purchasing in general, check out Static Ice for a list of lowest-priced vendors for whatever particular product you search for. Well worth a look.

Cheers B)

Might have to cut and paste that, but anyway... It's a 30GB external USB harddrive, in a nice enclosure. Only $59.99. Also acts as a card reader, although for some reason it says it only reads 1GB or smaller SD cards. That spec might be wrong. I could see myself using this quite a bit once a BoB that I like becomes easily attainable, instead of using multiple SD cards.

Here's a nice deal for the Brits for a change..

Budpark has a special on right now for 2800mAh batteries - 4 for £3.98

I just ordered 8 so I'll report back on the quality after they arrive.

I bought an A-data 2GB card, shipping included was $40.. Kinda my fault a bit, been buying online alot it feels second nature so I dint do a search before I buy. 3 weeks and nothing arrive, they dont answer emails and only the answer machine comes up when I call them. I did a search on them, Im not the only person they have stolen money from.

So please do not buy anything from this place, I did the best I could to report them to some sort of authority. But they only care if its a $500+ value purchase.
