The Communication Cube

Would a life be worth living if there was no suffering?
Possibly yes, possibly moth question, since there is suffering.

Fwiw, I meant life in general, for all lifeforms, not only human life.

There are lifeforms for which I don't have any definition of suffering. And either they don't care to tell me their own definition or they can't or I fail to understand them.

Without bad times there would be no good times.

That doesn't mean that you need to suffer in order to find meaning in your existence. I mean, if suffering is your thing, go ahead and enjoy.

Please don't put me on the same level as insects or whatever the left wants us to eat, because it's apparently okay to kill these, but not the others.

Nevermind me, I'll have another beer.

Who? I? I didn't.
This all started with

Yeah, let's end all life, so that no one and nothing has to suffer anymore.
So, even if you are include in "no one" we were talking about "nothing" too.

I'll have another beer.

Now I can agree to that!

Note to self: when you read "mr" and wonder whether it means "mister", "minister", "methodist reverend", "memory register", "mechanical rabbit", "multirheumatism" or "magnetic resonance", it's time to get in bed.

multirheumatism

P: Well he is very old.
N: I'm not that old.

There is a custom firmware for the Quansheng UVK58 (I think K6 works fine to) which allows you to transmit on any band up to 1200MHz; which includes CB.
The device was cheaper in the past, I think it now is selling starting from €30 or so.
I thought all of those Quansheng were illegal in Germany due to noise levels or something. And I'm not a licensed radio amateur, so I'll have to stick to CB only.

Meh, apparently you need at least an RPi 3, better 4 to properly run an SDR. Was hoping to give the old Pi Zero something to do. Oh well.

I think it's only forbidden in Switzerland and not in Germany. This unit indeed has issues with harmonics, as it's cheap, but it would be somewhat fixed by placing some resistors to filter these out.
Though these are walkie-talkie-like units so you hardly transmit anyway and a unit like this doesn't have much power. Still you want to adhere to the local radio traffic laws.

For the SDR, you could use a Portapack H4M. It's a stand-alone unit but it could also be linked to a computer to be used as a HackRF. Obviously more expensive compared to a €30 Chinese walkie-talkie.

Reminds me on this other Kickstarter device which was an Powerbank but also an Walkitalki .. unfortunately it’s was emitting in a frequency which is illegal in the EU .. there is only a quite short range of frequency’s allowed for private CB Radios, other frequency’s are meant for military, police or other CB Radio..
even Mobile Phones needs some frequency’s to work..

i have an Bluetooth Radio Transmitter on UKW (Ultra Short Wave) in my Car and it was not easy to chose a free frequenzy to send my Music ; I have found one but it’s also contains some background station ..

My radio still has an aux-in so I plug-in a cable. It might be inconvenient compared to bluetooth, as you need a cable, but it mostly just works in all cases.

Well it’s more the other way around why I use Bluetooth : my Radio got only UKW and MP3 CD, but doesn’t have an Line In Sadly, so I need this Transmitter to send the stuff some where to my Car Speakers..

on the other side, I don’t need an App to Start this Car, only the Keys ^^

When think about , that newer Radios now have CD instead of Compact Tape means that you can’t use an Line In Tape Adapter anymore..
