Whilst recently curating ps3 roms I'm shocked at how many titles are EA. They used to be mainly sports .. now they are the borg.

EDIT: their first in-house game was Sk8 or Die!. Hell yes!

EDIT AGAIN: Bloody hell...

Since the 2010s and before, the video game company Electronic Arts has been at the center of numerous controversies involving acquisitions of companies and anti-consumer practices in their individual games, as well as lawsuits alleging anti-competitive practices on EA's part when signing sports-related contracts. In 2012 and 2013, the company was named "Worst Company in America" by Consumerist, while it was named the 5th most hated company in the United States by USA Today in 2018.[1]

If i remember correctly the whole Second Amendmend thing was miss understood: "Our Country needs an Well Armed Miliz" or something like this, so it was meant that the Army should have Weapons, not the average Citizen, and not to this extreme that is today ..

I might write now about building Bunkers whit my Multitool, or something, but in fact, im not that much more worryed about this then anyway...

What?? Russia still has access to the internet??!!#!?%
The question, apparently, is do North Koreans on military duty in Russia have internet access?
Well, some journalist suspect they do, and they know what to do with it, so to fact check whatever their sources, they asked USA intelligence whether North Koreans in Russia are watching porn like they never could at home. The pudic official answer was that USA spies spy, but they don't spy that spicey.

Seems like the USA is now again on the Controll of this Old Orange Men .. +o(

And this Country got an Weapon Law where everyone is allowed to own a Gun ..
What were they thinking. I mean, it's like they wanted to get Trump elected by providing a candidate who has been historically unpopular which is reflected in today's vote. You can lose an election, but this was a clear cut 'nope' for her.

It's started with the primary race in 2020 where she dropped out early after running out of money, but she didn't appear to have a real chance to win. Even Bloomberg was more popular...

Luckily she became the vice-president to Biden, but she didn't appear to be doing a good job there.

A quote:
"A polling gut-punch It was, without a doubt, an ugly poll. According to a November survey by USA Today, Ms Harris' public approval rating sat at 28%, making her one of the least popular vice-presidents in modern history - lower than Iraq War architect Dick Cheney, who was reviled by Democrats."

She had two tasks as vice-president which are highly popular complaints by Trump till this day: 1. secure the border, 2. national voting reform.

And somehow, by doing a last-minute swap of Biden to Harris, someone expected to have the whole country rally behind her anyway because she's not Trump. Biden might have had a better chance at winning the presidency, and dropping out making Harris the president.
But that didn't happen and now Harris has lost the presidential race, again, and the garbage won. She lost against garbage...

I hope all the people involved (including the people doing the polling) are going to reflect on how they could have done such a poor job.

Trump isn't president yet, that's still Biden. We'll see what kind of surprised there are until then.

It's quite complicated. I don't think democrats could have done much better with another candidate. They should possibly have thought of it much earlier and prepare a good candidate (or 2 or 3) for years.
But the thing is Trump is pretending to be anti-system (despite his biography) to lure people who feel the system is out against them, and since those people aren't everybody, any opponent to Trump needs to
be prosystem to some extent. At the same time, the incumbent can't be anti-system, because they're currently ruling, so they have to be prosystem and show some degree of complacency even if proposing improvements,
because they can't disqualify themselves. Adding the USA tradition of presidents trying to be reelected at least once, it was hard to not present Biden again, because it would be seen like kind of admitting defeat,
that you have had a president that his party itself thinks is not good enough for being president. So they had to present Biden. When Biden failed, too obviously to repair, they didn't have time to build a proper candidate,
and they went with what they had. The vicepresident is likewise incumbent, so they didn't have to admit they are bad at government, and she was younger and generally competent and normal, which is a good opposition to Trump.
I don't think Harris was a bad candidate. I think Trump was an horrible candidate, no matter what political ideas one may have, and it didn't matter.
But being "not Trump" as main argument hasn't been enough, that's obvious in hindsight. But who else could have fared better ? At what time should they have set up a different candidate and who ? And what other problems would they have had ?

In the end, if people are so fed up with their lives that they're raving to vote any candidate but the current party, then the ruling party needs to change at each election, independent of candidates.
And the combination of relative economic decline (not really but the USA can't be a superpower forever) and elevated fantasies of being the best in the world (collectively as a nation but also individually as it seems every citizen must think he's the best)
will have the people fed up no matter what the government does. So the people will stay fed up and the ruling party will change each election (if there are any more elections).

A friend had North Korean exchange student at his university. Their rooms in the student residence were arranged so that they could each see each other from their windows. Apparently, this is how they control people (both inside and outside of the country): have everyone spy on everyone.
So even if they have full internet access, they might still be wary of having someone tell on them if they use it for non-government approved usage.

Last night my daughter reminded me of a story. In the early 1950s during the Korean war her great grandfather lived in South Korea near the North Korean border. He owned a shop and at night North Korean soldiers would sneak around trying to steal food. They were starving. Being a kind man - and believing that Koreans are all one people - he left food out for them from time to time. One day the South Korean authorities came and whisked him away. A while later they returned his body. That's the end of the story. Thinking about it last night I highly suspect his corpse was in poor condition having been tortured and they wanted to make a point. Aiding the enemy at war is treason after all. Wikipedia reveals torture was outlawed in South Korea in 1995. Not sure about presumption of innocence. My point is countries around the world are very different in both subtle and shocking ways.

After WW2 about 2 million Germans died due to ethnic cleansing of Europe. Although some scholars claim it's only 600.000 Germans.
I guess history has a focus on wars themselves and less so on the aftermath.

Once I inadvertently restored a crashed browser session on my (south) korean brother in laws computer and was disappointed to learn he frequented the same adult sites as me. Thought he could have done better ;)

Kamala can become president really easily, just ask Biden nicely to step down. Escalate the existing wars and she might stay on as a war-time president.

That's just the Taliban looking for a job in the new Trump's cabinet.

They wouldn't get very far, they're not hardline enough for the Americans.

Did yesterday hear that someone believed the Americans did start WW1 and 2, and Fukushima where not that Dangerous because of the Nuklear Radiation, as most where dying because of the Tsunami Waves.. WTF??
