Unless I've misunderstood the last post in the thread says he is coding for both.

Exactly. :D

is he coding a complete new emu, or were the lost sources of GPEngine found?

anyways, it sounds great and i'm really hoping that we will get a pce-emu with savestates one day :)

good luck, squidge. may the force be with you! omg, i'm a nerd...

Hmmm, I drop one sentence in ZG and a new thread pops up here about it, you people must be desperate ;)

What DaveC says is right. If it takes 3 - 6 months to get a decent one on the Zodiac, it'll probably take a good month or so to see it on the Gp32, as I intend to make full use of the Imageon, as it's perfect for tiled graphics (which is basically what PCE is), screen stretching, filtered overlays, transparency, etc.

On the GP32, I wouldn't expect it any faster than what GpEngine is currently, as it will have to emulate the hardware of the Imageon - bit pointless trying to develope two completely seperate codebases.

As close to perfect as GPengine is and at the same time not? Of course people are desperate for a better TG16 emmulator! It's probably been the longest awaited update for the GP.

Newb question, what was the PCE. I know it was a 16 bit console of some kind but thats all. What good games did it have? and where they in english.

Thanks

Dude gpengine is fast enough for me... most stuff palys fione at 133mhz

so if you can match that that would be sooo cool....

the main problem I have is that stuff like chase hq speeds up and slows down so much in the intro etc on gpengine

if it included autoframeskip like on DrMD - it would be perfect...

save states are not essential

take you time dude - :D

Thanks :) I'm writing this from scratch. So far, only a C cpu core has been written along with routines for handling I/O. No VDC (video) or PSG (audio) routines have yet been written.
