Now that the new F-200 has come, is it possible to port games like Settlers 3, Age of Empires and Sam & Max?
With the touch.screen this would be very cool :-D

Please investigate a bit before posting =P

(ie.: read the stickies!)

I'm saying this because Age of Empires is used as an example of what can NOT be ported. The reason is that those applications are closed source, therefore they cannot be adapted (ported) to the GP2X platform.

One can always do a remake, but that takes a lot of work.

As for sam and max and every lucasarts games, see the post above =D

OK, great!
Is it the same with the new Sam & Max games? Those who is split into episodes?

And how does N64 emulators and games work on the new F-200? Does games like Mario, Pokemon Stadium and Zelda run at 60 FPS?

There's a open-sorce Settlers 2 project callen Widelands. Have no idea whether it is portable or not

As for the neverending stream of new Sam&Max things the engine seems to be closed and relies on 3D heavily, which as I understand is not quite within gp2x reach.

absolutly NO!
gp2x can run only Sam'n'Max Hit the Road, the 2d game.
Sam'n'Max in episodes are 3d and doesn't work with the scumm engine of course (the latest game that used scumm was the curse of monkey island, from Grim Fadango Lucas used a 3d engine with Lua script support).
