For those of you not watching the price of SD cards, or considering buying lower-capacity cards due to price, I just thought it'd be a good thing to say that the prices are falling like a rock! The cheapest cards, just a month or two ago, were $45, and as high as $42 even a few weeks ago. To now be able to get a 16 gig SDHC card (though lower speed than a few higher-class ones) for a mere $35 is a great thing for the launch of Pandora. It'll be very interesting to see just how low these things will go before Pandora ships, we could have an even better Christmas this year. :D

Now if the 32 GB cards drop to the same price to capacity ratio as the 16 GB cards, then I will be a very happy man.

Ive noticed this too... Its dropped close to 50% for 16GB SD cards since I've started following this project. Cheap things come to those who wait :p

There is supposed to be at least one manufacturer launching 64GB cards before Christmas. Imagine having two of those bastards!

Yeah, and I can't wrap my head around how many games could fit on one of those, let alone two.

heh, get two 32gb cards and store your whole mp3 collection and several movies. man.. I'd always be home where I was at as long as I had my pandora with me.

Now that 8GB I bought last month for $35 doesn't seem like such a good deal.

64GB cards will be awesome!

If I were in the market for a new SD, I'd just buy a couple of these. $3.49 is a great price no matter how you cut it, and for a Sandisk too :)

no need to have that much space for porn
be sure to have some at your sd card, but then, you'll have wifi for redtube ;)

but yeah, the extra space is really welcome when it comes to psx emulation... the games are now taking 600mb instead of some 32mb from older systems ;)

Yep, I already decided I'll be going with two 16GB cards for ~$70. No way I'm spending $300 for 64GB of storage...I'll wait for the price to drop and upgrade :D

$3.95 might be a good deal, but $8.44 isn't so great. That's how much they are with standard (aka cheapest 3-5 days) shipping. And, no, they don't qualify for the free shipping, even if you order more than $25 worth. So to get the 16GB of storage in the much less convienent form of 8 sepearate cards - you're talking over $65 ($67.52 to be exact) - and I got that by making a cart, so there's no combined shipping deal. The one 16GB card is $41.98 - and that's 3 day shipping. If you've only got $9 to spend on storage - you're better off going to a local brick and mortar store to try to find a 4GB for that much.

I may have to pick up a few of those for a game console I'm building right now. :) WinCE 2003 doesn't take SDHC cards, so this will be awesome. Though I can't say it would be good for Pandora; if you can get SDHC cards for cheap, why hassle with the swapping?

well and here i was fretting about not having enough money for a pandora and sd cards so i guess i'm starting off with 16gb now :)

Newegg just starts selling 32gb sdhc and now we're talking about 64? My how fast it goes.

I just can't wait for a similar price war in SSD's.
