First off i would like to say thanks to Ace since this is his mod http://www.gp32x.de/board/index.php?showt...amp;hl=joystick I just used a ps2 analog cover insted of a gamecube. This is a very easy mod and really improves the way the control stick feels.
Ok so what i did is got the rubber cap off of my broken ps2 controller (which is much easyer to get off then the gcn,and its black) to do this i just used my fingers and worked on one side of the rubber untill it came up.
Next you need to trim the inside of the rubber cap you can use little scissors or some kind of razor. Just take off a little around the whole rubber cap. (this is what it should look like)click here
Now fit it over your gp2x cap and test it out in test mode. if its not registering then that means you need to trim more of the rubber cap.
Thats about it. if my instructions are vague then click on this link http://www.gp32x.de/board/index.php?showt...amp;hl=joystick Ace does a way better job of explaing it then me.
Also if you like the way it feels then you can super glue it to your cap. to do this i cut out a cardboard circle just big enough to fit in the bottom of the rubber cap.(like so)click hereI super glued that cardboard to the bottom of the rubber cap, and then super glued that to the gp2x cap.
I do feel that the super glueing makes a great thing even better since it really feels like a part of the unit nice and sturdy not mushy or feeling like it might slip off, but no matter if you glue it or not it will feel tons better then the cap.
