Also dude, in an off-topic, Thanks! You are awesome for porting your linux distro and 200+ packages. That is EPIC. I haven't tried it yet, but I will when I can.

I will release a new -current soon, after the next Zaxxon hotfix i think.

I'm looking forward to trying it on my new 1Ghz machine when it shows up. :D I'm sending my other units away to family members (except my original order for testing).

Requiring the source code for review is a bit odd.

Weird, but who cares because it's an open competition, right?

Also, offtopic; You are a God among men, sir.

Thank you for every piece of software you have written/ported/whatever. Most of what you have done, I've probably used it on several platforms.Your name is synonymous with getting *stuff* done. I bow to you.

Do you not think it's "odder" that you can program in anything you want, except DIV Game Studios... I have no idea what this DIV thing is, but why is it excluded?

Along with the game should include all the resources used by the same as well as the source code,

scripts for configuration and compilation, compiler, etc.
Not sure if this is a mistranslation, but you need to submit the compile and config scripts?!

They want you to supply the autotools, cmake etc. stuff or if there are any special compilers, thy want them, too. That could be a problem though, if the compiler is not opensource or free.

Div Games Studio was a DOS based game creation package that helped birth the likes of Fenix, Bennu and Gemix etc. It was a great language but as it is DOS based it doesn't run well (natively) on newer versions of Windows (XP onwards). I presume that's the reason it's excluded?

If they want a GLBasic game they are asking for the GLBasic compiler too - that isn't going to happen! The rules are pretty odd.

Guys,

1 - I put in english when I have time to translate correctly.

2 - The src code for review it's only for I take a look, to be sure you don't copy a open src game and change only the graphics... I don't send the src to jury or any people. Remember this rules are the same of the last competition I made, and nobody have problems with this when release the final games.

Only src for tools you made for the game are required (like the game src properly), of course you don't need to send me the src of a closed tool you use (remember this tool has to be public, not create you one and close the src to competition if the tool is part of the game).

The required compiler it's only in rare cases like a snes compiler, etc, of course a registered GLBasic you don't need to send me xD

You mantain the rights for your work, I'm the one that check this nobody else.

3 - Please consider the prices will be improved a lot :)

The only reason I exclude DIV Games Studio is because there is a div like based on it and compatible, and the admins of his community where not very sensitive with me and Bennu community in my first competition (in this one I admit all div likes), there's is a big rivality and confrontations with this 2 communitys for many years, and in this case i'm tired from persons who don't show respect for me, so I cannot support anymore this commercial div like community.

Please understand. This is a free competition, made for people who loves free games and free work with the purpose to support homebrew community.

I think is going to pretty hard to do, how are you really going to know. You couldnt have looked at all source code for every opensource game created.

I think it would be easier to tell by the way the engine operates and looks, but even thats depends on if you played the actual game.

Believe me I'm a bad programmer but a great game enciclopedia xD

Anyway, this is part of the rules, and please understand, we don't have the obligation to justify the competition rules :)

Thanks to hardyx, finally we have the rules in english.
