Time for my Year'ly PC Fan and Case Cleaning hehe. Dont you just hate it when the fans start making that GGGRrrrrrrr noise when your typing and you dont know which one out of the 10 Fans it is hehe. Looks like ill just have to blast them all with my Motor Cleaner Spray hehe...

BTW Never use Compressed Air to Clean Fans Out :thumb:

hey mccyril, what does your avatar say? from what I can read it is about a Tokyo bus, a guide, and some kind of disk?

I havent a clue what it actually says, but it is from a game called 'Tokyo Bus Guide' for the Dreamcast, I scanned the front cover. Its a pretty mad game where you have to drive a bus around tokyo and pick up and drop off passengers and try to drive as sensibly as possible. Though i can still not change lanes with out loosing points

10 fans..?! Let's see, one in the PSU, one on the CPU, one in the front, one in the rear, one on the gfx card.. That's 5 fans max I can think of in a computer, where's the rest? :p

I only have 3 fans, PSU, front and CPU, and I hardly hear them :D

1 Fan on PSU
1 Fan on CPU
1 Fan on Graphics Card
1 on Front of case
1 on Rear of Case
1 on Side of Case
Twin Exhaust case Cooling Fans (2 Fans)
Hard Drive Cooler (2 Fans)

Next I have to fit one to the Top of the case to get rid of rising Heat :D hehe

Gotta hear my Tower when I turn it on hehe like a Jet starting up hehe... Wooooooosh

Funny. I spent some money to get every fan out of my PC and I use the most silent harddrives.
A PC shouldn't be heard (well, only the sound he makes through the audio card).

Heya Stevo, I always use compressed air to clean the fans in my case when I open it up. But I don't wanna do it if it's bad, what's wrong with this?

Compressed air comes out so fast at speeds faster than what the Bearings in the Fan are designed take and will damage them in the long run....

Get some Electrical Cleaner. I use the Motor cleaner that I use for my Model RC Car Motors (Cost £3 from a hobby Shop) to get the dirt out...

So yours is water cooled?? I cant afford that yet... so I stick a couple of fans in hehe... The noise doesn't bother me...

The computer doesn't have to be -20 degrees to work well you know.. my CPU is at 35-40 degrees I think, well within the limits, and the whole computer only makes a soft hum. Large low-RPM fans is the way to go. :D

No, it's not water cooled.
Actually, I have ONE fan... one for the processor. But it's a large one which really can't be heard (cause I installed a silent kit - sound absorption plates).

And there exist power supplies without a fan - but with a biiiiiiiiiiiiiiig cooling plate.
They are more expensive, but it's worth it (for me :))
