This gizmo here is correct for me on price but not really on specs With wifi and TV out i would pay about 200 euro(including TV out cable).
I think you are overestimating the specs of this little machine. Wifi and SDTV out would only add maybe $20 of parts (plus effort to figure out where to put them). You're really willing to pay 130 Euro more for something that costs about 15 Euro to add? It costs $99, and that cost is low compared to everything else because it a fairly underpowered machine, compared to other *books. If the Pandora or Nokia has the functionality you want, this will be very lacking to you, even if Wifi and TV out were added.
I do not understand why you say i overestimating the specs while i say "This gizmo here is correct for me on price but not really on specs".
I added that with Wifi and a TV out (including TV out cable) I would be willing to pay about 200 Euro.
Maybe i should have said 200 Euro Max.
The thing is i do travel a lot to so many places where having a Mobile Phone is plain useless so a n900 for example is expensive and useless.
Never the less every now and then i Check into a hotel with Wireless Internet So than it is very useful to have wifi.
I also like watching movies listen to music when i am on the road or when i am alone in my room.
Where i go it is generally not a good idea to have big equipment (not handy when you travel)and surely not anything with a high price tag the change it get damaged get lost or even get stolen is always there when you are on the move.
So i am looking for a reasonable cheap gizmo that can do these things and be able to play games would be a awesome bonus.
130 Euro more is about correct and definitely not the 15 Euro you talk about.
How much does the TV out cable cost for the Pandora i am sure it is more then 15Euro).
And even when you look at a Wifi ad you already lose more then 15 Euro and i am not talking about the TV out yet.
What i wanted to say it would work for me if it had tv out and wifi.
The Pandora i would Pay 300 Euro for because looks way better (but then it is not here yet is it) all over including gaming.
I have not found anything that has a keyboard TV out Wifi and music and movie support memory slot Pocket Size for 300Euro (or less)just yet.
O well i did find it it is called Pandora but then (sorry)yet again it is not here yet.

WizardStan Thanks for you reply and i appreciate it if you ore anyone out there could point me to a gizmo that is small and could do all this.

I'm interested in seeing one of these just to take it apart and see how it works, if someone gets one could you post detailed photos?

I don't have much trust on that website. If someone can confirm is trustworthy (they ask me for my CC number), then I will orded one right now and post some photos as soon as it gets here.

I really want to like this but I just get away from the fact it has a tiny screen and no gaming controls...or wifi. It's rubbish basically when you have a Pandora on pre-order...

All i want is some small linux device to type LaTeX on that would let me save to a USB drive.

Doesn't look very good. It has the specs of a PSP I'm sure even in its entire lifespan it won't have half the programs the PSP has, or even the Pandora has right NOW (in it's unfinished/unreleased state!!)

http://en.qi-hardware.com/wiki/Main_Page <-- the wiki, loads of nice info there, along with pictures of the internals somewhere (it's a bit disorganised atm though)

yes it's trustworthy, if you're in the EU then go to http://www.tuxbrain.com/ to order

it's a lovely little device, and yes it doesn't have anything fancy like wifi yet (sdio wifi card excepted)
but then again, the idea is that ben is a starting point, which is improved on with the next iteration etc, next would be the ya nanonote, which will (not entirely sure, just a simple dev) have wifi/usb host and other things like that

there's also other related projects, like sakc, which is similar hardware, with acessable GPIOs etc for hardware hacking

people should really read up on things before pronouncing that it sucks, and the nn really can't be compared to the pandora, dingoo sure as they're the same chip, but pandora, hell no

That's why I said I think you're overestimating the specs. If the only thing you think it is missing is wifi and TV out to make it worth 2/3rds of what you think the Pandora is worth (and exactly what some people actually did pay when it was first on pre-order) then I suspect that you are seriously misunderstanding what this little machine can do, or your priorities are so different from mine as to be completely unfathomable to me.

I think my priorities are indeed that different from yours.
As i sad before i am looking for a device with:Keyboard-wifi-tv out-supporting video and music - having a card-reader A usb host would be nice to but i could do without if it has a card-reader of some sort.
I am willing to pay up-to 200 Euro for a device like this.
The Pandora comes closest to what i am looking for.
It is way more powerful than i need though but with all that extra power and possibilities (gaming) i would be willing to flip out an extra 100Euro just not really more.
I have to draw a line somewhere.
Then again if i find something cheaper less powerful and does the things as i describe above i will go for that.
I do not really need all that power but Pandora is the only thing that does what i want and more what i do not necessarily need.

Thanks for your reply and i hope i made my priorities a bit more Fathomable for you.
PS you last line made me smile thanks for that too.

What is it you think people are missing, when they say it sucks? Or are you saying it doesn't suck by virtue of it not being similar to Pandora? In another thread I said it was almost identical to Dingoo internally and I got shunned.

I wonder if perhaps people arent just downing it based on its specs, knowing what might be possible for a devices of this size but unfortunately missing certain things makes it seem like it's missing several huge opportunities to be a better device.

+It got a reasonable processor, It should be capable of decent 16 bit emulation maybe early MAME.
- Processor is just "okay" plus it's got a crappy screen that might reduce the effectiveness of what it could play game and movie wise.
+It's small, easily pocketable.
-No game controls, not impossible to play games on but control will be a chore for some games.
+qwerty!
-No wifi.

It's a constant tug of war with it. For everything you can say you like about it, there's a downside and that might make it easier for people to simply dislike. Innitially you think "wow kinda cool" until you learn more about it and get disappointed. That's not to say there's no market for it but it's a market that isnt expecting a lot out of it.

Why shouldn't people down it based on specs??

Dingoo has essentially the same processor, RAM, LCD, nearly double the battery capacity, gaming controls, and a lower price tag. If you want to play games why get that over this? In fact, why get this over several Chinese offerings..

Right, and what will you be using the keyboard for? Web browsing, texting, whatever is out and it's generally poor for composing anything because the screen is so low resolution. If you still want something like that, ZipIt Z2 has similar specs (in terms of CPU, screen, RAM, and keyboard) and form factor but also has WiFi and costs less than half as much.

Really, people are saying this is cool but I'm just not seeing what's cool about a device that is substantially worse than other devices that have been out for a long time.

For 200 EUR, right now, you can get a netbook with keyboard, wifi, and TV out supporting video and music with a card reader, and a USB host, and it's way more powerful than this thing. The only thing this tiny thing at 200 EUR would have over a 200 EUR netbook is that it's small enough to fit in a pocket. If you're willing to pay up to 200 EUR, get the netbook which has everything you want and then some.
It's like you're saying "I like that cupcake, especially since it's only $2, but if it had sprinkles I'd pay $5!" meanwhile there's a full sized cake with sprinkles on it right beside the cupcake for $5. If you want a cake with sprinkles and are willing to pay $5 for it, BY THE FREAKIN' CAKE FOR $5
*explodes*

I have a small EEE PC 701 that I no longer use much since I don't want to carry around a bag.

Why can some of you not accept that this device has it's niche? It's not a gaming device. It's not a web browsing device. However, there is no device I know of that does what this does: Full keyboard portable Linux with reasonable processing power and basic multimedia for your pocket under 100$. Netbooks are much bigger and more expensive. N900, Pre and Pandora are much more expensive. This will become much more useful in future iterations with a few simple additions (like Wifi, higher res screen) but it is an unusual form factor that is very useful for a few people already. It's certainly not an answer to all our problems, though. You'll have to wait for the Pandoraphone to get that.

For some reason people gravitate towards Cheap Chinese Crap. It doesn't need to be good, they don't have to have a use for it, but hey it is CHEAP! that is all that seems to matter.

I am not impressed with this, just a dingoo with a keyboard replacing game controls, I wasn't big on the dingoo so ...
