I'll have to fiddle more, but it would appear I'm not getting much speedup from enabling squidge's mighty mmu hack (but then, I'm not doing giant fb blits either.. I only update each scanline as needed, so most frames don't update much at all.)

But it does look 'crisper' on the MkI I have for sure; ie: Less tearing going on, so it looks sharper somehow.

I need to do some mor eside by side comparisons.. maybe add a mmu-hack-toggle-button so I can flip it on and off quick and see the effect :p

I'll fiddle some more .. I'd like to slip in some other little things, as theres lots o fchanes I'd like to do.. but with everyone else popping out updates.. I best do so too. Gotta keep everyone busy :p

Cool hope it works out. That would be nice to have near perfect ST.

It usually runs 60fps throttled anyway :)

I shut down all my stuff last night due to a large lightning storm; normally Iwouldn't have worried, but seeing as most of our gear got wiped out last storm I don't take chances.. so I'll resume today :)

Maybe this hack will allow for better sound emulation. It is a little off as it is now.

Sweet (I mean the addition of the hack), and it might be nice to fix the sound.

I don't need sound to play, but it would be nice anyway.

I hope you do your joystick-up-on-a-button thing, Skeezix! It'll really improve a buttload of games.

I'd prefer to use sidebuttons for upper diagonals. Then deny them from a stick. It'd make PrinceOfPersia finally playable and would improve other games as whell.
(those what are using upper diagonals for jumping)

And the major improvement would be making sound perfect. I'm not expecting compatibility for crazy type effects (sync-scroll and other).

The menu movement code could be tweaked a bit too. It's to easy to overmove - there should be a bigger wait time until a constant moving kicks in.
