Interesting... I suppose it depends on how you define "entrant".Magnulus posted on Jul 28 2006 at 11:02 PM said:Wite_Noiz posted on Jul 28 2006 at 10:47 PM said:In the interest of fairness, I think 3.
Although it's unlikely someone will have more than one game to enter, I don't see any point in limiting them.
So if we go for 3, and both Li'l Trooper and Platoons are entered and Li'l Trooper comes first and Platoons second... Then it's fair that you won't be seeing any of that prize money? ^_^
See, in alt 1, both Daid and you guys would get to reap the rewards of the contest, while in alt 3, only me and Daid would get the money. I'd probably feel bad and split it with you anyway, but that's beside the point!
(I have no delusions of grandieur, I was just making a specific example.)
But you're right. For some reason I assumed things slightly differently and din't read your earlier post fully.
I was primarily thinking of the coder being the limiting factor - but I don't see why that should be the case.
At the extreme, I just wouldn't want one group to blanket the awards. It could have a negative affect and dishearten other developers.
