27th of August 2010 ~ Forever

I just want to congratulate ED and the entire OpenPandora/DrafonBox Pyra community for making this place the goto place for all things Pandora and Pyra (among other things too of course).

I, personally haven't been here for 5 years yet due to the fact that at the time I was sceptical about moving on from gp32x.de to here...but I must say that this community is the best community I've ever had the pleasure of joining.

And after almost 400,000 posts (10,000 are mine, but all spam though :p ) and over 8000 members I can't believe how far we have all come and how awesome we've all grown as a community.

I know that great people (Gruso, Prometheus, and a few other legends ( coincidentally an old legend has returned today just in time to celebrate, best day to make a return, lol ) ) have come and gone, but it never ceases to surprise me when new, awesome members join us.

Congrats all. :)

Isn't anyone else happy to be here?

5 years is one of those significant anniversaries.  Half a decade!  Pretty cool.

(Thanks for reminding me how little I have done in the last 5 years. :p )

Thanks for making this such a fun and interesting place, everyone.

Gp2x.com?  I don't remember that place.  Now, we still have the boards at gp2x.de, and the old boards which were at gp32x.de (now gp32x.de, I think), but never gp2x.com (which, it seems, resolves today giving a domain error in Japanese).

I would congratulate you on timing your 10000th post to make this anniversary post, though I haven't yet seen what you posted to get there, so I'll withhold the congratulations for the time being.

And Elw3, you seem to have missed out the significant event that happened on 27th August 2010 that we're celebrating the anniversary of here.  Was it when SONY got his CC Pandora first by any chance?

I though it was this site's "birthday".  No parties, or any of the people that have been around since the beginning telling those of us that have shown up since then how things used to be back in the old days.  Only a few hours left today where I am.

Edit:  Or the birthday of boards.openpandora.org, based on the OP and from what I can gather from the results of the Wayback Machine.

I already informed the authorities  about that matter, they seem to have reacted:

Yes well I was a member at gp32x.de for a time but i was a latecomer. And man it's been five years since I joined here.

To think that this was supposed to be Craigs paradise, free from dissenters, and somehow he still fucked paradise up.

I hope more people care once we get to 10 years :(

As Neelix mentioned, ED (craig) are the key. Also... http://boards.openpandora.org/members/?sort_key=members_display_name&sort_order=asc&max_results=20&sort_key=joined

or any of the people that have been around since the beginning telling those of us that have shown up since then how things used to be back in the old days.
All this used to be fields.

https://www.youtube.com/embed/I2mANhs-3XE?feature=oembedI was a late comer too. I only joined gp32x.de in 2006, I think?

Not trying to be a naysayer:  I have doubts we will still be here in 5 years, mostly because I think ED might want to move somewhere with Pyra (or dragonbox) branding.

QFT, but I hope you're wrong...

DragonBoxPyra.org?
or just move the Pyra section over to the the Pyra site (Pyra-handheld.com), or move it all to his shop.

That logo I posted wasn't even from here, I just used it as an acronym example. Ignore the logo.

Just think about my domain...

e.g. We all move home from OpenPandora.org to DragonBoxPyra.org

Like I said, I think it is a great name, so it would be great for the domain.  I wonder why it wasn't used.
