A Pandora just arrived this morning at my place. While I didn't have much time now, I couldn't do a video - but I could do some pictures.

As I didn't have too much time, there's some dust and speckles here and there. The final product will look fine, of course, this is just an MP prototype with a very quick finishing.

Enjoy :)

Many great high resolution pictures here. It looks truly amazing.

Very good pictures indeed, the most detail we've seen of a production Pandora yet. But if you look closely at a few, you can see that the left side of the battery lid is damaged. Was this due to shipping?

Nice pictures ! :)

What's with the left shoulder button on the last picture ?
Actually it can be seen on the second picture too...

Where do you think it's damaged? Because I know it isn't.

Apologies if this has already been answered and I've missed it, but what's the deal with the battery tray thing? (the bit of plastic with the Pandora logo on that the the battery is resting on in the pictures).

Also, the pictures look very nice indeed! (Liking the depth of field ED!)

yeah what's up with the shoulder buttons they do seem to be sticking out too far... and check out this image: http://www.open-pandora.org/images/phocagallery/Recent/Photos/FinishedPandora/PandoraLED.JPG

the led cover doesn't seem to.. fit the hole properly.. looks really bad :/

Spare batteries come with a protective box with the Pandora logo on it.

There seems to be grating burr(?) still on and a slight deformation. That's what I would expect from a sample when the temp of the tool isn't right.

Having a curved shape for the light and expecting it to be exactly flush with the outside of the case is pretty high of an expectation. From the full Pandora photo, it looks like a natural bevel to me.

if it's not possible to have the finished product looking fine, then why design it like that? it sounds like you are saying I should be happy that it looks shit just because that's how it was made? lol.

You forget that it's still a sample and has neither the final finish, nor is it from a large tweaked production run ;)

It may have been made that way on purpose. The LED pipes on my netbook sit slightly below the top surface of that case and they look fine (as does the pandora's light pipes in my opinion).

Are you aware that that's under about 10X magnification?
