Question. I've got a Fritz!Box as modem/router and LAN port 4 is set to guest mode. That's what all proprietary devices get connected to - like my Switch, a Windows pc (if I had one running...). Thus those devices are separated from my actual home network and they get separate router rules - atm disallowing everything that's not TCP and everything that's not a standard port for requesting websites or mailing.
This way, of course, I can't go online with Diablo 3 nor with DC Universe Online nor with other games and I'd like to adjust the rules in my router, but I don't know, what exactly to allow.
I want to say, 10 years ago or so, stuff like that was easily looked up online, that the providers themselves gave you such information. Now though, I can only find out, that Blizzard isn't operating the servers for Diablo 3 on Switch, but Nintendo is. Then in Nintendos FAQs it only says to allow port forwarding across the whole range or, if you've got separate devices for modem and router, to exclude the router. Via their support site, I told them that's like "Go to a dark alley, bare your private parts, and take roofies." and asked for more specific information. I asked Friday night and haven't heard from them, yet.
So, my question to you would be, does anyone know, where I can get those well kept secrets? If the answer would be game specific, those are Diablo 3 and DCUO - for now at least.
