Hi y'all.

So, gpu940 was made faster.
I used the supplementary FPS to add the lighting effects in Egoboo2x.

New binaries are available here :

http://download.gna.org/gpu940/

Both files are required, because the new egoboo2x binary works with the new gpu940 binary. So, copy everything onto your former Egoboo2X folder.

And if you did not installed Egoboo2x already, you then must install the older archive first, to have all the required data.

If you need the game files and download them from the gp2x File Archive: The version there is already the one with the new binaries :)

Wow, damned cool, I like seeing the little GP2X being pushed like this, 2007 is a bloody good year for the scene so far!

Will the old Egoboo work with the new Gpu940? I want to see how fast it is.

edit: Also is there any way to disable the debug info at the top?

Why release it in pieces? It'd be more helpful to pack it all up in a game folder so we could just wing that on our SDs.

Why not reading the complete thread? Maybe you will find out that EvilDragon has packed it in the archive for people like you :D

^^ My, that wasn't condescending or prickish at all, was it?

But hey I guess misunderstanding how to properly set up a game on my GP2X makes me an idiot.

I downloaded the binaries tgz and the new gpu940 tgz and put the contents of both in the same folder, which I then put on my GP2X. I open the folder in the file browser and execute the GPE but I just get a frozen green screen with "250" at the top, the game never starts.

I tried deleting the file that conflicted with the folder. Game wouldn't run.

I tried extracting the *content* of the folder to the main game directory so the folder name wouldn't conflict. Game wouldn't run.

I tried just combining the two files in the OP into one folder without using the original as a base (which was recommended by the OP) and guess what? Game wouldn't run.

Your ARM940 chip apparently can't handle 250mhz (neither can mine). Open up the .gpe file with wordpad and replace gpu940 with gpu940_225 so that it clocks to 225mhz.

edit: Apparently your SD card also needs a backup and reformat.

I tried adding the files to the game folder on my harddrive and it gave me the same error. I tried changing the CPU speed with the utility included in the game folder, but the game still won't run.
