New Firmware Due @ End Of Month (ish)

Thanks for the tip. I noticed they also added usbmon.exe for download....

Don't get too caught up on the exact timeframe. We should give GPH until the middle/end of April.

Two important things to fix:
- Scanlines
- Autobrick

Once that's done, the GP2X will be competitive w/ PSP, DS, etc.

Actually, it says at the end of NEXT month. Here's the direct quote:

"Hello,

Though i can not tell you exactly what will be improved in the next firmware, but the release date will be at the end of next month.

Thanks
Anna"

So, we have 4-5 more weeks before the next release. :(

Autobrick has been fixed by art103.

Scanlines, and brightness. MMMMMMmmmm

Thats really all I need, well and a better video player with more codecs and the lips to match better (idk it is still a problem for me).

Wont a community driven firmware pretty much beat out any of the official releases ?

The community didn't develop the device. The original company/dev team will always develop a better firmware - but the community will always tweak it to run faster.

I don`t think it`s the case when you are dealing with GPH.

After all, It the community that makes the device what it is.

the company should be able to develop a better firmware than anyone else, but there are some pretty smart coders here, it would be a tough decision. on a side note, could i get a link to the autobrick fix? i would like to be safe when i get my GP2X.

here's a good question:

What exactly will be fixed in the new firmware?

...or maybe a better one:

What won't get broken by the next firmware?
