There have been many threads about this. Do a search, but the short answer is no it is not possible with sound and good compatibility and playable speed.

As far as Neogeo is concerned , porting NeoMame would need a LOT of efforts from the coder , since it's already pretty slow on a modern PC .... So on a GP32 .... Arghhh !

NeoGeo games sure are cool , but it's very doubtful we'll ever see them running and i think the gp32 would lag a LOT in games such as Metalslug ... , we would probably have Snes fullspeed before that ;)

And I would love to play around with the optimized FGb32 ... Just bought a GBA and shit, it can NOT play the GB and GBC on a linker :( :( have to use emulation ... LoL

So i would better use the gp32 for that, much better screen and it fits better in my hands anyway ... (but the Gba was Cheap , thats why ...)

I don't know what you are talking about as when NeoRage first came out I was playing NeoGeo just fine with an old Gateway laptop that only had 200Mhz PROC 126MB RAM and no video memory.

It ran at full speed just fine and NeoMame will work just fine on any Modern PC.

I don't doubt that it will not be an easy task to port but to asume that it's slow on all PC's is just false...

126mb of ram. 128mb -2mb for video memory perhaps ?.
No video memory  How did it display images on the screen ?.

Dude, RAM is the important thing (and you had 128MB of it!), not Video-RAM. You have to hold the entire game ROM in memory to play it. Metal Slug's ROM is over 13MB zipped! How will you hold that in the GP32's 8MB of RAM, along with the emulator itself and other functions?

GPAdvance got around it with some tricky dynamic loading, but even then only a max of 8MB is possible, and the same technique wouldn't work with Neo Geo ROMS.

Ain't gonna happen, and personally I couldn't care less. There are very, very few Neo Geo games I would spend time playing, and that's easily achieved on the PC.

I never said that emulation would be perfect for the GP32. All I am saying is that it is perfect on any good PC that isn't Ghetto is all.

You are right that any games over 4mb would not be bale to load with out upgrading the memory.

Also, people keep wishing it play Dreamcast well most games are well over 128MB, expect maybe MR. Driller that you an play on Game Boy Color just fine.

You would not be bale to play Soul Caliber or Shenmue do to Shenmue spends a few discs and Soul is about 800MB in size, just through I world mix it in this post..
