Mystery Of The Fday Reveiled

well neogeo emulation would need the ram upgrade... almost all neogeo games are ~15mb big. (not the neogeo pocket)
and neogeo games are the best :)
metal slug , samurai showdown ... mmm this would really be the best day of my live ;)
but its really not sure if the 13. emu really is a neogeo emu.
i think its either neogeo or snes. probably snes...
and the emus will have the ram support. it does not say that they need it.

Well it would be really great if there was someone who would do this mods. as far as i know http://cobbleware.com/gp32/gp32ram.html is just an explanation how to do it... and i dont know if i could do this xD the distance between the legs on the cpu is really small and outsoldering the old ram chip is hard too.
well i think i would try to do it if i found a suitable ram ;) but they are really expensive and like i said before, i have no money :(

Will there be a pack with all 13 of the emus in to download or will they all be in separate downloadable packages?

I don't think it'll be an neogeo emu. NEOGEO has some great specs:

CPU: 16-bit Motorolla 68000 (12MHz) and 8-bit Zilog Z80 (4MHz)
RAM: 64KB (68000) + 2KB (Z80), Video RAM: 68KB
Colors: 64K (4K on screen)
Sprites: 380
Game Media: Cartridge
Resolution: 320x224
Sound: 3 PSG, 4-FM synthesis, 7-digital, 1 noise channel

I hope the emulators will be avaiable seperately on the f-day.. I really cant fit 13 systems full of games on a 128 MB smc... :rolleyes:
I ment one .zip file with all 13 .fxe files in it. So you can only put on the emulators you want.

They could veru easily nort NeoGeo over to the GP32.
According to this website and many other here are the specs for the NeoGeo

http://www.answers.com/topic/neo-geo

Specifications

* Processors: Motorola 68000 (12 MHz), Zilog Z80A (4 MHz)

* Display resolution: 320x224

* Color Palette: 65,536

* Maximum Colors On-Screen: 4,096

* Maximum Sprites On-Screen: 380

* Minimum Sprite Size: 1x2

* Maximum Sprite Size: 16x512

* Maximum Planes: 3

* Sound Channels: 15 (7 Digital, 4 FM synthesis, 3 PSG, 1 Noise Channel)

* Internal RAM: Work RAM: 64 Kb, Video RAM: 68 Kb, Z80 RAM: 2 Kb

* Save Memory: Removable Memory Card

As you can see it only has 64KB of ram and 68KB of video memory. It just takes some one wiht coading skills to port one of the many existing emulators that has it's sourvce code such as NeoMAME etc. If I had the coding skills, I would write this app but sadly I do not...

I see what you are saying that the games over 4MB will not be able to load.

Ok!

* Processors: Motorola 68000 (12 MHz), Zilog Z80A (4 MHz)
* This is twice the speed of the megadrive`s 7.61 mhz

* Color Palette: 65,536
* Megadrive has 512

* Maximum Colors On-Screen: 4,096 ( Similar to Ham mode (sllooowww))
* Mgadrive has 64 (similar to extra-halfbright (quite Slooww ))

* Sound Channels: 15 (7 Digital, 4 FM synthesis, 3 PSG, 1 Noise Channel)
* Megadrive has 6 stereo channels

Probably get somewhere near snes speed if were lucky, But if thats the case, The Amiga emulation would be possible, Well nearly. :p

Fdc (Dreamcast) would do better as a 13th emu, this way we would be able to play Shenmue on the go :)

As far as Neogeo is concerned , porting NeoMame would need a LOT of efforts from the coder , since it's already pretty slow on a modern PC .... So on a GP32 .... Arghhh !

NeoGeo games sure are cool , but it's very doubtful we'll ever see them running and i think the gp32 would lag a LOT in games such as Metalslug ... , we would probably have Snes fullspeed before that ;)

And I would love to play around with the optimized FGb32 ... Just bought a GBA and shit, it can NOT play the GB and GBC on a linker :( :( have to use emulation ... LoL

So i would better use the gp32 for that, much better screen and it fits better in my hands anyway ... (but the Gba was Cheap , thats why ...)
