stevem -- btw, you can use squashfs iso's in the pnd, if you want to compress it without then zipping it.

This is not how it's supposed to be used (they represent 3 video layers in OMAP3), I'll post more details about this later (ping me if I forget).slaanesh said:I just checked Pandy - /dev/fb0, fb1 and fb2. Triple Buffer! Hooray!
Yeah, I was wondering about that. There is of course a difference between compressing for distribution (downloading) and having thing compressed locally (i.e. on SD). Are there any negative implications of using SquashFS? I guess there´s some performance hit, but I suppose it´d only really affect loading times.skeezix said:stevem -- btw, you can use squashfs iso's in the pnd, if you want to compress it without then zipping it.
Looks good to me. Maybe work it into this article? http://pandorawiki.org/Setting_up_a_cross-compilerskeezix said:EDIT: Steve -- let me know if its halfway accurate or useful, and I'll post it to the wiki. I wrote it quick, so might be all crap

Yep, looks like the announcement just popped up... If you're busy on the app store, maybe you could stick Frotz on there while you're at it?craigix said:Is the new file the GBA emu?

Hey, exactly like onto the PC! What a chance. Don't tell me that "P" pauses the emulation...kaprikawn said:...and the Tab key to bring up the menu ingame.
You kind Sir have made my week!SteveM said:Well, the good news is that I got that port of SDLMAME working and it has some more video/scaling options built in. Bad news is that the performance is understandably pretty abysmal, seeing as it's all done in software. Even simple games need a bit of overclocking to get up to full speed, but at least you can play the likes of Galaga and Pac-Man right-way-up without it being tiny. I've put a PND here for anyone who wants to give it a whirl, but don't expect anything semi-modern to run well at all.
