I've just been reading through Linaro's website, and it seems like they're an open source company writing low-level software and building OSes etc for varoius ARM SoC's.

Linaro develops a growing range of open source development tools and software that can be downloaded here. We aim to deliver the best open source tool chain for ARM v7A architecture (e.g. ARM Cortex-A8 and Cortex-A9 processors), a modern Linux kernel, power optimization tools and Linaro Evaluation Builds for Android and Ubuntu. The LEBs are being developed for our members low cost dev boards and will be made available as soon as the code is ready.

They have an Android eval build for Pandaboard available for download already.

Think they'd be interested working on software for the Pandora? Any contact between OP and Linaro?

Edit: very brief mention on GP32X back in Jun 2010.

It's all about $$$, primary reason they exist is because some big names are interested, not because of some sort of ideals. They do help OP indirectly though with things they do, like kernel and u-boot improvements.

So it's all a big money making organization? It says on their website they're not for profit. I guess they must pay their engineers though. And web designer :)

Do you mean to day pandora's kernel and uboot were partially written by linaro?
