Not at all. We retrogamers hold on to our junk gameconsosoles and handhelds. And love them, even if they are faded, scratched or semi-broken. And I will hold on to my Pandora. just because I love the spectrum-rich, bass delivering, audio cirquit.
anecdote: During football, my open pandora got knocked off the bench... touchscreen became wonky/unusable. Got home, opened screen, moved things around, closed... clicked and it was fixed... solid piece of hardware...
I also will miss the case. You know, I was pretty careless with it at times, it reminds you to be extra careful with small electronics.
