That was my intention. I hope to include towns with NPCs and shops. Training dojos. Talk system, rival gangs and gang headquarters. Tenchu-style missions. Zelda-style item/weapon system, varied mission approaches (grappling hook, poison flasks, swords, daggers, shruiken, bow and arrow, bo (poles) ...). There is a long way to go.
At the end of the 15 days a combat demo where you slaughter a few enemies with a variety of weapons would be good going for me. Exams do nothing to help, I wasn't even going to enter the contest 'til metellius came through with his excellent physics system.
Should be free ... depends on how much work I put into it. In fact it will probably be open-source. I can't see a way of making money from the game, really...and I've used so many free programs, both on and off GP32, that I need to give something back.
Finally ... levels are internally stored but I -will- move them to external files. Perhaps I will do this with the sprites also. You will probably be able to make your own 'free play' levels that have start point and mission objectives, but the rest of the game is tightly knit into a Super Metroid-style explorable world with a minimap
