It Is Your Birthday.
In all honesty, it looks like it's worth the 600 USD price tag. Everything is finished off, it's almost a piece of expensive furniture

Nah, it should be priced based on how much value it has for what you want it doing, not what it looks like. Sort of like the bimbo from Outrun...In all honesty, it looks like it's worth the 600 USD price tag. Everything is finished off, it's almost a piece of expensive furniture
no, absolutely! But im saying if nothing else, it looks like it's worth the price just based on outer appearance.Nah, it should be priced based on how much value it has for what you want it doing, not what it looks like. Not that I disagree with the article, but something inside me wonders whether he got paid to write it, or it's actually his genuine will and opinion.
>angry stuff<
... yeah, but ... Oblivion man ... Oblivion!
The 360 looks fine, cool, and minimalist. If you had one, you would know that. The PS3 may look good, haven't seen it in person yet, so I wont judge. But Shiny != Good.Agreed, from a design standpoint the PS3 is a class act all the way. Both the Wii and the 360 look like cheap plastic toys compared to this one, mind you, this is not to say the the other two look bad, but that the PS3 looks exceptionally good.I saw the ps3 in person today, and it looks (design-wise) amazing. It looks very expensive, with piano black finish and beautiful silver accents. Very classy imo.
The graphics are rather astonishing, too bad it's likely that I wont be getting one. Probably for the best though, Sony will likely need to iron out the kinks for the next shipment. I do look foward to getting one

Bollocks. The 360 is totally white, except for the DVD tray cover.I think the thousands of different-angled photos available on the net are enough to give me an impression of the 360's design. No need for me to pay $400 or whatever they cost to give you an opinion to your liking. Design is a matter of taste really, so what I may prefer you may dismiss, and vice-versa.
I like the PS3's design more because it is more mature and more elegant. It uses fewer colours, and the colours that it uses contrast with each other well, giving it a piano feel, as DCGM said. The 360 uses plastic shades of gray, and a bit of chrome, nothing special really. The PS3's design is also better structured, giving the unit a tighter feel if you will. The Wii jumped on the IPod white 'n glossy bandwagon, so there's nothing laudable there.
