Ha, Fuck Sony.

In all honesty, it looks like it's worth the 600 USD price tag. Everything is finished off, it's almost a piece of expensive furniture :D
Nah, it should be priced based on how much value it has for what you want it doing, not what it looks like. Sort of like the bimbo from Outrun...

no, absolutely! But im saying if nothing else, it looks like it's worth the price just based on outer appearance.

Not that I disagree with the article, but something inside me wonders whether he got paid to write it, or it's actually his genuine will and opinion.

*chuckles* Alex, have you seen the man's comic book?
"You're not doing me a favor by buying it. I'm doing you a favor by selling it."

I hardly think this guy was bought out by anyone.

PA I can see being a target, though they appear to have been smart and stayed away from that, merely omitting talking about the folks who advertise on their site (for the most part) and only advertising games they don't think sucks.

>angry stuff<

... yeah, but ... Oblivion man ... Oblivion! :p

I saw the ps3 in person today, and it looks (design-wise) amazing. It looks very expensive, with piano black finish and beautiful silver accents. Very classy imo.

The graphics are rather astonishing, too bad it's likely that I wont be getting one. Probably for the best though, Sony will likely need to iron out the kinks for the next shipment. I do look foward to getting one :D
Agreed, from a design standpoint the PS3 is a class act all the way. Both the Wii and the 360 look like cheap plastic toys compared to this one, mind you, this is not to say the the other two look bad, but that the PS3 looks exceptionally good. :)

The 360 looks fine, cool, and minimalist. If you had one, you would know that. The PS3 may look good, haven't seen it in person yet, so I wont judge. But Shiny != Good.

I think the thousands of different-angled photos available on the net are enough to give me an impression of the 360's design. No need for me to pay $400 or whatever they cost to give you an opinion to your liking. Design is a matter of taste really, so what I may prefer you may dismiss, and vice-versa.

I like the PS3's design more because it is more mature and more elegant. It uses fewer colours, and the colours that it uses contrast with each other well, giving it a piano feel, as DCGM said. The 360 uses plastic shades of gray, and a bit of chrome, nothing special really. The PS3's design is also better structured, giving the unit a tighter feel if you will. The Wii jumped on the IPod white 'n glossy bandwagon, so there's nothing laudable there.

I'm gonna admit, the 360 has one thing going for it: Its wireless controller feels like its an extension of your mind. I simply could not use the original XBOX controller, i consistantly lost at lan parties with my friends. The buttons were wierd and the thumbstick/trigger combination was hard to master. However, i went ot my friends house one day, and he introduced me to his new 360. As soon as i picked up that controller, it was like it bonded itself to my mind! Within five minutes i was kicking ass in full throttle, and in 40 i was pwning guards left right and centre in oblivion. I hadn't felt a controller this intuitive since the N64!

So 360 = controller from god

Bollocks. The 360 is totally white, except for the DVD tray cover.

Sam, the 360 is nice, but when you see the ps3 in person (be honest and dont let any opinions on pricing, performance, etc effect your opinion on design), you'll know what we're talking about. It matches very nicely with a new HDTV you have :D

And then there's us poor people who haven't decided to blow a couple thousand for a hdtv.
