will try that.. thanks... But why are my Homebrew GBA Rom things in .BIN Files??? Is that ok to use??

Hello,
I'm dieing for news
it's been a while without a post
no offense to washo
Sorry but sometimes I have to go to the university :p

Im back with VERY GREAT NEWS:
Je vois que ma dernière petite phrase a fait du bruit... J'ai aussi cherché sur internet et j'ai vu aucune raison de brider mon émulateur, alors vous pouvez arrêter de vous exciter    ...

Et puis pour le bios, de toute façon je suis quasiment obligé de le reprogrammer, et franchement les fonctions du bios GBA sont bâteau à écrire en C

I see that my last sentence made a lot of noise....Ive been around the net and I discovered that NOTHING obliged me to disable commercial roms in my GBA emu so you can all stop to get mad...

And for the BIOS in fact im quite obliged to remake it but the GBA BIOS fonctions are easy to write....

see you

A) Quite hard to copy it. Apparently lots of the copies floating around on the net don't work.
B ) He would be reaching copyright in a huge way if he did copy it.
C) Rewriting it means he can perform the BIOS functions in native GP32 code, which will obviously be a lot faster. Also this helps a lot with certain things, for example the GBA BIOS includes a simple sound driver, and it would be a lot easier to write equivalent functions in GP32 code than to emulate the low level sound hardware.

does this mean he will be changing the bios?
You won't have to flash.... He's just going to not use the official GBA BIOS (code that Nintendo wrote.... using it in the emu would be a big NO-NO), but write one himself :)

ok... did the converting and got tried to run it but got sent back to th eGP32 BIOS Monitor :(

ANyone got a game to actually run yet???

Ok please do not point and laugh but im not good with technology.

When trying to put the first version (GP Advance) onto my GP32 i get an error saying it cant be added because one of the file extensions is not 3 chars. (only 3 chars allowed for extension file name dump.mb).

How do i get round this so i can put it on my GP32?

I want to see what all the fuss is about :)

So when you mean only homebrew stuff can be played, is that the stuff like if they entered it in the 15 days competition thing, could we play the stuff that was entered there? this question may be confusing so let me rephrase

can we play any kind of homebrew games that were entered in competitions or PdRoms.com

Btw: I hate pepsi and apple "computers".

You can only "play" demos with it, ie graphics tests etc. Sprites does not work, nor does the modes used by games. It is just a test to see that it is actually running. If you want to play something then don't bother with it yet.

Hi all,
Now you can only play demos but now there will be no limitations about roms so with a better release comercial games will (should) be OK...

Before someone ask for more news....:
No NEWS....
sorry about that...
I would also be pleased to have news but NO...
We will all have to wait....

see you
