The origin of the game doesn't matter. What ever I do in Sweden I do under Swedish laws and regulations.
The are some major differences. First is that in order to sue someone, you first have to apply to the court, if for example the sum isn't reasonable in regards to the case, the case will be dismissed straight away. A reasonable sum when it comes to an individual is always very low, rarely above a thousand dollars.
The second difference is that it requires quite a profound case with definite proof in order to reach court, if you don't have that, there is no chance that you will reach court a hearing.
The third difference is that the individual who is being sued does not have to pay a dime. Sweden has a judicial security, the state pays the legal fees unless you have lost the case, then the loser pays the fees.
Companies sueing individuals is practically unheard of in Sweden, since they have nothing to gain by doing so. They can't gain money since the sum has to be low, they can't scare anyone since the person they are sueing doesn't have to bother or pay anything. Pretty much all cases are dismissed and put on a shelf. Sueing altogether is a rarity, it mainly just done between businesses when there is a argument they cannot agree upon
Sweden is, and has been for a very long time, a social democracy. Keeping the social securities at the highest level in the world while the power of major companies are diminished.
