Hi,

I'm searching for an easy way to do a Game with minimal effort. At least when it comes to programming.

I am a Filmmaker and always wanted a choose what's next kind of game, where you see a Video, then there are 2 or more Buttons that let you "do" certain things.

As I'm no Programmer I'd need a Software that can produce a software that plays videos and then shows a picture with the buttons on it to click.

And as I want to do this game mainly for the Pandora it should output a runable Version for the Pandora.

Hope someone of you can point me to a Software, and I also hope I'll not get stoned to death for this question. ;-)

Thanks in Advance,
George

mmm

well im sure you didnt come out of the womb with a camcorder now did you

i would advise learning to program, what you want to achieve is fairly easy, but could be a pain with a "gamemaker", and youd learn a new skill

anyway would a dvd game not be slightly more appropriate, that way you just take the iso of the dvd and play it on the pandora, it would also play on 99% of other devices these days

as of now i dont think there is a gamemaker compatible with the pandora

as far as dvd programming goes, i have no idea, id be interested though if you find something out
i find it easier to work with code than those stupid flowchart crap, so i would advise you to learn to program it is quite minimal effort for what you want to do

Maybe a bash script using Xdialog and mplayer would be easy enough.
HTML
Dialog/bash example;
http://linuxgazette.net/101/sunil.html
Tools used;
http://xdialog.free.fr
http://www.mplayerhq.hu
http://www.gnu.org/software/bash/manual/bashref.html
It is easier than it looks.

Hello, do it in HTML..

Each page is just a video box, with a couple graphical buttons to the next pages.

ie: Think "chose your own adventure" books from the 80s, but with web pages instead.

Shipping the app is just a zip of html and avi's, piece of cake unless you want to sell it :)
