hack hack hack, the little machines fight back
It shouldn't matter if it is or not .. the FW upgrader should've erased it, if it were so important in the first place..
The kernel and uboot are flashed, but the nand files are just extracted with tar so nothing is erased there first. It shouldn't matter if it is or not .. the FW upgrader should've erased it, if it were so important in the first place..
Yes it is possible and actually quite easy. One way is to boot off SD using art's version of u-boot and I have been experimenting with another method, but it isn't perfect yet so probably isn't that interesting right nowJust wondering, isn't there a way around to get more than one firmware version on a unit? were we can choose the firmware to run at boot maybe (and thus making the GP2X as annoying as a PSP? )
I have the same train of thought. However 2.1.0 vastly improves SD read (/write?) speeds. Very useful for everything really, especially Neo Geo! Also, the menu no longer flickers. That being said, I'm now waiting for the next worthwhile upgrade.Yeah me too, I would never upgrade unless I have a problem, not even for a tiny boost, might upgrade if a firmware version increased performence dramtically, which I don't think will happen.Still using 2.0.0 that came on my GP2X. I have yet to feel a need to change.

Yes! Start+select don't work =(As in, uboot flash failed?
I live in Russian and don't have any GP2X shop =(Most of the GP2X shops will reflash the uboot for you IIRC, you might want to contact one of them.
I think i need BOB to recovers booting file =((( It is most simply i think (((
