Release Firefox 11.0

Try the /mdia/YOURSD/pandora/appdata/hdonk.* directory.

Wow - I hadn't thought that the person who compiled it would have name-branded the directory structure.

You were close:

/media/YOURSD/pandora/appdata/hdonk_firefox_001

/media/YOURSD/pandora/appdata/hdonk_firefox_001$ ls -al

.

..

.adobe

.macromedia

.mozilla

.wh..wh.plnk

Desktop

gtk-2.0

$cd .mozilla

/media/YOURSD/pandora/appdata/hdonk_firefox_001/.mozilla$ ls -al

.

..

extensions

firefox

$cd firefox

/media/YOURSD/pandora/appdata/hdonk_firefox_001/.mozilla/firefox$ ls -al

.

..

egid09ri.default

profiles.ini

Getting closer - but I see no lock or .parentlock files... I'm tempted to blow away the entire hdonk* directory in the thought that starting the PND would re-create what it needs at that point. Does it work that way?

Thanks!

You forgot the *.default folder, which is egid09ri.default in your case.

Ahh - ok, that is a folder.

/media/YOURSD/pandora/appdata/hdonk_firefox_001/.mozilla/firefox# cd egid09ri.default

/media/YOURSD/pandora/appdata/hdonk_firefox_001/.mozilla/firefox/egid09ri.default# ls -al

.

..

No other files or directories present - no lock or .parentlock.

Hmm.

Urm, quick question - The bookmarks dropdown button is not showing. However, if you go to customise it appears there. Any ideas?

Edit: Found this page which let me fix it by moving it into the tab toolbar. Odd that I never had to do that on my desktop one. But anyway

It wasn't on purpose - it's just what the system uses for the app data, based on a string in the PXML... I'm not that vain!

You're looking in the right place for the lock file. Don't know why you can't find it...

Try this:

find /pandora/appdata/firefox -name \.parentlock

OK - I got it to run. I simply deleted /media/YOURSD/pandora/appdata/hdonk_firefox_001.

It launches, I can go to non-ssl web sites just fine.

I get an error trying to access www.gmail.com:

Secure Connection Failed

An error occurred during a connection to accounts.google.com.

security library: memory allocation failure.

(Error code: sec_error_no_memory)

top command shows:

Mem: 248844k total, 244024k used, 4820k free, 1652k buffers

Swap: 2047992k, 2232k used, 2045760k free, 101292k cached

So - in theory - memory should not be an issue... Can anyone else get to gmail through FF11?

Thanks!

It's working now. This post held the key:

One exception - it isn't sslv3 it is ssl3 to check.

Thanks!
