Release Final Burn Alpha ported to Pandora (FAQ in first post)

there's a settings menu within FBA that allows you to select how the roms are displayed, you can also change things like the sampling rate, maybe that might help with the scratchy sound issue? I've not gotten many roms so far to work, will have to have a more thorough browse out there soon, when I can tear myself away from playing WWF Wrestlefest!! (sad I know, but I did play the arcade version far too much back in the day!)

Hey many thanks for that, in my excitement & eagerness to try all my roms i completely missed the settings menu.

At the risk of sounding extremely ungrateful (I'm not), is there any chance that some more scale/rotational options could be implemented in future builds.. there are quite a few of my roms that appear upside down or wrong aspect on the Pandora screen & the necessary scale/rotational options needed to correct them aren't currently incl (some filters would be nice too!)

Any chance of adding a V30,V33 driver so games like rtype and other irem games work. Also that last update seams to have botched up cps sound, sounds scratchy muffled.

It's not just me then, i haven't tested all of them but every one so far (apart from The Punisher..?) has the sound issue
i think the punisher was the transition onto cps2(not cps2) but a slightly different hardware faster 68000 with qsound instead of ym2151 so thats probably the reason there.Cadillacs and dinosaurs and warriors of fate use this hardware and run aswell .Would love to see taito fx3 and gnet hardware running on this emu rayforce darius gaiden xii stag and raycrisis dreamers cant be choosers.

Are the Nubs working as true analogue sticks? To me they still seem to be digital.

Super Hang-on has no brake option so the course and music cannot be selected.

The left nub for Afterburner works reasonably well, but in Powerdrift is way too sensitive, so the game is still largely unplayable even if you just nudge the nub left or right.

Also, yes, no brake control in Super Hang-on make it difficult to play well - also, the nitro being on B with the Accelerator being on A makes it very difficult to press both at once.

I reckon the only way this could get solved is to have the config options mame has ie anolog sensitivity and control config which would probably take one hell of a rewrite as i believe newer builds of fba are also a nightmare to change controls. Also i believe dave18 clearly stated in an earlier post anolog support in fba is dodgy and sensitivity is set at 100%(for now)

Hope people will forgive me for hijacking here, but what do i need to be doing with my Roms in clrmamepro (i have the dat) merging/rebuilding both..?

Thanks.

i really enjoy playing with this emu so much! thanks for putting so much effort into it - great work!

may i ... (of course) ... ask if there's a way to disable the omap filter? i'd prefer the non-filtered scaler more :)

I just go into settings \ lcd-settings menu and disable the filtering there.

After using this my nubs are are setup as joysticks, I have to go into the settings menu to reset them.

Nubs will only be left as joystick on a segfault. A clean exit will revert the nubs back to their previous settings. I did think about putting the nub code in the script rather than the main code (on the assumption that the script will get executed even on a segfault), might add it as well as extra insurance.

Worth noting that a segfault (ie a crash back to desktop) will also not execute the code to restore cpu speed, so unless the libpnd takes care of it the clockspeed will stay at whatever the last game was running at.

And before I forget it, is there a way to enable Raster Effects for NeoGeo Games? I noticed this in NeoTurf Masters (missing Parallax Effect on the green). I know from GnGeo that this was able to turn on or off (for performance reasons).

I have to admit I don't remember FBA crashing when my nubs remained in joystick mode.

I was playing Turbo Outrun and just quit back to desktop (Q to FBA menu then Start & Start to exit)

Is there another way to exit out I should be using?
