Release Final Burn Alpha ported to Pandora (FAQ in first post)

Thank you dave18!

Never thought I'd be playing CPS3 on my Pandora. Your hard work and obvious skill are much appreciated!

what CPS3 games are you playing? I didnt think final burn alpha has support for CPS3? i thought it was CPS1+CPS2

I thought I'd finally have a look at this, got it running Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike. It's kind of playable, but a bit choppy at 840MHz, but if I set the CPU speed any higher it won't load the game - bombs out whilst reading the files.

Edit: Also, is it possible to redefine the keys?

Just tried Super Street Fighter 3rd Strike at 900mhz and it runs but still has stuttering.

Also tried SuperChase but that doesn't work, just dumps me back to desktop :(

This really is turning out to be the a very impressive emulator, many thanks to all involved.

I'm getting 30FPS on SFIII at 1ghz, which looks really smooth to me. Animations and sound are perfect. A thread was just started a little while ago discussing whether CPS3 emulation would ever be possible on Pandora. That discussion was recently ended by this fba release.

My Pandora will only clock to 900 :( , I can't be bothered to push it up 1mhz at a time to find it's precise clocking speed but 950 is a no go.

This version of FBA supports Megadrive and PCEngine roms, but they have the same name that the mame ones, where can I put them so that FBA sees them ?

EDIT : ok ! i have to rename them to md_ or pce_ .

Oh and :

I just hacked some code together to quickly get analogue working, I only tested it with outrun and hard coded the left/right maximum values. I want to get the nubs working as analogue controls soon, along with a long list of other improvement that need to be made,

....

Many thanks for the new version dave18, it's amazing how much this emulator has improved over time. Great to see a huge increase in rom compatibility.

If you're looking for suggestions for improvements, then what I'd love to see is the ability to configure controls on a default & per game basis, oh and save states. :)

Really looking forward to nub support for games like powerslide. :D

+1 on Save-states & Configure Controls per game as in MAME.

@dave18 - Thanks again for this great emulator. I hate to make any requests since it's amazing how much this has progressed already but, assuming there's agreement on this, would it be possible to make ESC the quit button rather than Q? The Q key is located right underneath the digital controller and my enormous thumbs are constantly hitting it by accident.

i might be wrong, but wouldn't it be possible to include ari's sh2 recompiler to speed up cps3 emulation?
