I really wouldn't play it for the first time on the wiz. Especially if no one has played through the whole game on it yet (has anyone?), because it could stop working at some point and that would suck. But mainly just because you won't get the same experience with it being slower and without sound. If you have no other way to play it, perhaps you should look into emulating psx on your computer; that'd work a lot better. Of course, it's always possible that the psx emulator for the wiz could get better soon, but it doesn't look like it's going to be worked on very much, if at all (hope I'm wrong).Kwijibo said:Thanks for the replies! I'm not getting my Wiz til Christmas, I'm just looking around and getting stuff ready so I know a bit about it before I get it. I actually have never played FF7 (I've been deprived, I know lol) I'd like it if the sound would be workable for my first time playing thru it, but if not I can deal with it. Another quick question; If the emulated were to be updated, would that possibly fix the sound issues? Or is it the Wiz's hardware that can't handle it?
Kwijibo said:Yea I guess the emulator on pc might be the way to go for FF7. I'll just wait and see what happens when I finally get my Wiz. Thanks for the input, Absolofdoom!

Although its pretty old and it used 3DFX which no longer exists so I'm not sure what would be involved getting it to run... come to think of it, it might even be more of a hassle. You know what? forget I said anything. Go ahead and emulate it on your PC. Do whatever it takes but you definitely should play this game at some point.

I know that they got it to work for PicoDrive's Sega Mega CD Emulation (Night Trap, Penn And Teller's Smoke and Mirrors, etc. all use this feature), so it would be possible to do, it just needs to be implemented later on (hopefully)...
Exophase said:You don't need this feature for FF7. It lets you save inbetween CDs, so if you do so and quit the emulator you can start with the next CD next time you load.
