its hard to get a reply here when obituaries pop up.
I ordered a Genius Maxfire Pandora Pro from Newegg.com this past weekend.
In the guise of saving my keypad, buttons, display, & sanity, my GP2X has gone from a disposable toy (upon the release of Pandora, or so I thought initially buying it) to something I'd like to preserve like my Dad's '78 6.6l Trans Am.
The joystick works ok. The start/select button don't work, so these must still be used on the machine itself.
Now that I'm using the cradle, I realize what an abortion it is. Toggling the usb via gp2menu or original front end is amusing. The fact that I need a SVideo to Svideo cord is lame considering I have the Tv connect cable which is useless at this point being I have the cradle. I feel strange using the SVideo cable connected to the TV. I don't like the feel of all the cables.
What is a good flatscreen/DVD combo to buy for the GP2x & the Pandora? Under 25" &<$500
Are there any versions of GBA/NES/SNES that will support the Maxfire Pandora Pro joystick?
Thank you all again for allowing me to reconnect with my past. It really means a lot and helps me cope with a hectic lifestyle that needs a break from time to time. Some of my fondest memories as a kid were video arcades and any location that was video game friendly (pubs, grocery stores, pizza shops, etc)
Let's get a GP2x lite/mini going.
Pandora please!
Peace
