Here now! :)
Good news. I am sure they already welcomed you, but have a pint on me tonight (well, it would be on me, if I had anyway to send you one). The sentiment is still there... just don't bend over too far or you might be giving your hair a beer shampoo. :p

Pandoras are shipping? When that that happen  ?
Friday. X68000 even went on-site and helped out, then walked away with his very own Pandora.

You should follow the unofficial blog.

Edit @ Prometheus: Well, it could have been worse... at least it was me doing the ninja (I think I owe you a few in return anyway)

The first shipping confirmations went out on Friday, if memory serves. :p

@ED - Good to see you. Hope the flight went ok, after the delays!

EDIT: Ninja'd. As usual. :p

Sexy webcam time! sexy webcam time!!

Sorry, I've heard that on the train today and all I could think about is ED (not like that  )

tell us about your trip ED.

You are all mad. In a very, very good way. I sit and laugh, and my wife wonders what I laugh about and I try to explain...and realise that if I'm going to explain why it is hilariously funny that ED will double his RAM, I'll have to explain until tomorrow morning. We as a group have indeed developed a very peculiar common history and mythology (or something) :)

The delivery of Evildragon has been delayed? By two hours? Did he need painting or something?
the chinese factory needed to do some mods on him before he could go.

We can complain and laugh all we want about the chinese factory, but in the end they delivered a superb job.
They still didn't get it quite right:

But it's getting more organised now, a few little changes needed to be made here, such as the shoulder buttons had to all be hand drilled to make the holes bigger (gah!) and some of them slightly filed down on the internal side to make sure they didn't stick sometimes.

It's alright, I tend to baffle my mum with techno-babble too. But to be fair, I try to make my explanations accessible.

For example, she asked me why a whole bunch of channels on her DAB radio would stop working at once. I explained time-division multiplexing by saying it was like a restaurant that served sausages in a long string, all of which coming out of some kind of automatic-sausage-string maker. Each customer takes turns eating one.
