-Super Karts, if the Pandora is fast enough
-Warcraft
-Settlers
-Battle Isle 3 (lets see, requires at least Windows 3.1 AFAIK)

Space Quest are Scumm games, I'd suggest using ScummVM for them. I'm sure its a lot faster and will take up less resources/power.

AFAIK Scummvm only supports the old SCI0 engine (earlier Sierra Games with typing interface and EGA graphics).
Yeah, you're right, you need to check the compatibility of the games you own first. If it is supported though ScummVM it is better though.

These threads are always a good place to find games to play, I've already found a few I want to try through this thread. Finding a legal copy is the problem. . .

Betrayal at Krondor was such an amazing game. Have you read any of Feist's novels?

Well, actually I loved it for its gameplay (I didn´t finish it so I couldn´t appreciate its promising story)

On the other hand, the depressing and shattered world of Darksun really encouraged me to read the novels :)

Pickle did a demo of 3.11 wfw (windows for workgroups)for me and it looked good. So an normal copy of 3.1 should work well.

Oh, I still have my copy of Arena and Daggerfall. Will those work? I pretty much only played Daggerfall, in fact, I have no idea why I even have Arena.

I´m pretty aware of that, buddy ;)

In GP2X times, I was constantly scrutinizing Amiga and Atari contents in order to get alternative and faster versions of my favourite games but I ended up getting stuck with DOS (no multi-disk hassle).I also have Scummvm updates into account for this very matter.

I wish I had known Mobygames by then...a real time-saver

You still have Arena because Bethesda is giving it out free.
It's a real shame the Pandora won't get up to playable speeds with these games.

I've never used DOSBox before, but I started to think about it, and I think there are at least a few games I'd want to try.

The first ones that come to mind are Relentless and Twinsen's Odyssey (LBA 1&2). I've never played Alone in the Dark, but I may want to try it. I'll probably play Warcraft as well.

What do you all want to play in DOSBox?

Wow, Twinsen's Odyssey never even crossed my mind! That'll probably be one of the first I try out too, now that you mention it. :) Other ones I'll be playing right off the bat:
  • Duke Nukem 1 & 2
  • Commander Keen (all)
  • X-Wing
  • F-15 Strike Eagle 3
  • Jazz Jackrabbit
And a ton more that I cant think of right now. :) I'm excited about DosBox

I played Crusader: No Remorse on my cousin's Sega Saturn, but I don't remember getting much further than the first level. I would love to play that again. Also, Fantasy Empires.

Daggerfall won't play at playable speeds? Ah, that sucks, I'm looking at youtube videos right now and man it brings back memories. I remember if you loiter in a shop until nightfall everything is free! I went dungeon diving for hours upon hours in that game, it was huge!

EDIT: I still have my CD for Daggerfall. I actually still have the box it came in also, the shiny one, and the instructions and all the papers that came in it. I wonder how much I could sell it on e-bay for?

Masters of Orion 2
Quest for Glory series & other Sierra games
Conquest of the Longbow
Conquest of Camelot

I am the other way around. Never played Krondor (looking forward to trying it out), but read a part of the Riftwar Saga.

My keenest point of interest will be UFO : Enemy Unknown, Dune 2, about a hundred of adventure games, Dungeon Master 2, the Beholder trilogy (hi Skeezix ;)), Lands of Lore, Little Big Adventure... there are so many to replay and so many to explore, it all depends on what will run okay in DOSBox. I don't want to foretell evil but I would not count with Dungeon Keeper that much, it was rather demanding. Hopefully I am wrong.
