I always thought Jacqueline was Craig's girlfriend but I don't really know..
I assume they are mother and daughter

Jacquelyn Jones  Born Jun-1955

Miss Debbie-Leigh Jones Born in 1985.

I always assumed there was some family relationship with Craig.

His employees are his mother Jacqueline and his sister Debs. I thought this was common knowledge.

edit: as lemondragon posted above...

Common knowledge huh? I've never heard this. Kind of odd for his sister and mother to share the same last name that isn't always shared with him, maybe if she's a half-sister..

@Exophase - Has that comment about Debs been deleted, I cant see it in any of the ICP2 KS comments?

Frankly, abusing people is not on.  But, I've got to say this, a couple of weeks ago I thought , how is Craig going to make an update on KS  and avoid a sever backlash , how is he going to get some respect back.  Then he posted that update.  I got to tell you, my first reaction was immediate - it was complete BS.  Only 30% of me thinks this , but there is that nagging doubt.

Here we are talking about it, and of course its done exactly this -> deflected us from the actual update which was pretty much void of any info .

No proper update on the LEDs

No update on the Swivel holder delay

Deflects why he didn't follow up a part order for 7 months. What was it, the BT module ED has been talking about for months now?. Seriously!

No update on the next steps in the project

No update on the Ras Pi dongle

And so on, In fact no answer to questions people have been asking over the last 7 months.  Perhaps people should be focussing on that.

Hey, that's Craig you are talking about. At least he is consistent with himself. No surprise here. At this stage I would advise to stop caring or forget about the ICP2, and consider yourself lucky if you even receive anything in the end.

That's not entirely fair when you are talking about a part order with several weeks lead time.   That means several weeks waiting for the initial order,  following it up once it was supposed to have arrived and then several weeks lead time again for the part to actually arrive once that's happened.

While there may still be a case for "why wasn't this followed up sooner"  it almost certainly wasn't a matter of "not following up for 7 months" or even anything close to that.

^ Sorry, lets call it it the bulk of the 7 months then, not really any better is it.

Not even the bulk of 7 months...  I'd say the most you delay you can blame him for here is about  3 months tops,  (assuming a 2 month lead time on the part)    Also, I seem to recall that this issue was already at least partially addressed by Craig a couple of months back when the part was reordered.

^ 9 week lead time on the parts?, I don't think so. normally 2-6 weeks. He made a comment that 12 weeks for the LEDs was exceptionally long due to a world wide shortage, I think he even mentioned at that time normal delivery was a lot shorter.

On the topic , here it is straight from Craig's mouth via KS update 14 from Oct 2012:

"The Bill of materials has been submitted to be ordered, this means the parts which go on the PCB will now be ordered. Sometimes it can take 4 weeks to get these all delivered so when making a device it's important to get this submitted early."

Even if you took the best case (for him ) scenario and said 3 months, that is still enormously bad.  No matter which way you try and cut it, there is no excuse.

Going with Craigs 4 weeks lead time statement, then that makes it at least 5 months (the bulk of the time) he sat on it.

Even a marginally competent project manager wouldn't wait until the expected delivery date to check up on the progress of an order for a component like this.

That said, sitting around for three months with your thumb up your arse would be enough incompetence to get you fired from any company I've ever worked for.

The comment is still there:

"Another fuking scam here on kickstarter; reminds me of Eyez™ by ZionEyez HD Video Recording Glasses for Facebook. Praying for mike to catch AIDS. Deb you are a whore and should throw yourself off a cliff b*tch."

Posted by REXROAD on July 10th.

Pretty disgusting stuff.

Those people sending abusive emails are entirely responsible for their own actions, not Craig.

But Craig is entirely responsible for putting Debs in a position where she's likely to receive abuse. She was trying to get the answers backers were asking for but he was hiding behind her like a coward and doing nothing. Ultimately Craig was the likely target of the anger but because Debs was the only one with the courage and decency to answer she unfortunately and unfairly bore the brunt of it.

I cant help but wonder at the reasons Debs seems to be the director of all of Craig's enterprises. I hope it doesn't bite her on the ass.
That's somehow what I wanted to say.

But in my opinion Craig is still one reason why they wrote such mails.

He didn't force them, but he is one reason.

Why can't you understand this is beyond me.?? Like I said before...let me rob you or your spouse of 300 pounds and show up at your door and let us see how civil you will act. Be in the real world for pete's sake.
Yes. But you're talking about you robbing me of 300 pounds, and me using this to beat up on your quite innocent sister. That, to me, is different. It seems to me that you argue that "Well, since she is my sister, she deserves what I deserve". And, of course, that it is your fault if I in such a case beat up your sister. No, I can't understand this as a viable position.

I say if you own a company and are actively involved and vested in it you ,,and only you,, must be responsible for how your company is perceived.

As I said...if this company was doing a stellar job then there would be nothing but great reviews and compliments
We all agree here. The thing is that the person owning the company, and the person not doing a great job, is Craig. Debs is, by all accounts at least, doing a job above and beyond the call of duty.

And, also: You are still responsible for your own actions.

My 2 cents:

On the one side there is the argument that we as humans are slaves to our emotions / conditioned perspectives and that behaving little better than unconscious animals when our egos/attachments are threatened is to be expected. Just watch the news or observe people in trying conditions to see that there is overwhelming evidence describing this as normal human behaviour.

On the other hand, there is the argument that as human beings, and in spite of circumstances, we have the capacity to act consciously as opposed to reacting unconsciously (the general norm).

Personally, I always expect people to strive towards self-awareness and consciousness (we are still trying to evolve out of an egoic/animal instinct like state are we not?) and I never defend the lowest common denominator that is the unconscious masses.

It is true that a great majority of people can't help themselves because they are unable to disidentify with their egos (who they believe themselves to be), but that doesn't justify their unconscious behaviour... It simply explains it.

Any being that *is* self-aware/conscious will recognise the strong element of insanity/delusion in the behaviour of these people.

There are situations where people don't decide what they do.

There are people who think more and others who think less.

I think that explains everything.
