I think oddbot is guru

Before DaveC gets the guru, people like theoddbot should be guru.

I agree with that too.DaveC said:I don't think this thread is healthy, or even a good way to nominate guru's. I don't think its fair on Dave.

I don't want him to take this the wrong way or anything. I don't think I have done anything for this community. I don't consider this to be a personality defect or proof that I couldn't I just have never particularly wanted to.
I just think that there are lots of people that are much more worthy of a guru badge. It would be criminal if daveC was too get guru status and yet other people like oopo and theoddbot and plenty other were left out.
Yeah but Vimacs never really should have been a Guru, he is just part of the oldboy network. (imo)DaveC posted on Feb 24 2006 at 02:06 AM said:Hanz™ posted on Feb 24 2006 at 01:02 AM said:I agree with that too.DaveC said:I don't think this thread is healthy, or even a good way to nominate guru's. Criminal? That is harsh, but again I know I am not your favorite member exactly...
I do agree that there are many others that should have guru. But then again if Vimacs was guru once, I don't see myself being that far off from it.

You're confusing Moderator with Guru.
Oi! Use the damn avatar!DaveC posted on Feb 24 2006 at 01:19 AM said:I kind of agree. Part of me thinks I should be a guru as I really do, believe it or not, put alot into this community.
The other part of me thinks that there are others that deserve guru more and I would feel guilty if I had it.
So I don't know either way, whatever. I am just glad this topic didn't turn into the flame war that I expected it would be
I disagree most (if not all) of our Gurus are Gurus because of technical expertise.A lot of the current gurus are in no way as informed as others who are not gurus. But people are supposed to believe what they say more than non-gurus.
