C64 Image Problem

hi,

i have a problem with a .d64 image. all programs on the disk have 0 blocks and the disk has 0 blocks free. that is because of the copy protection.
it is a "golden disk", a popular german game magazine, many games from golden disks (Golden Disk 64/CP Verlag) have become international hits (enforcer, another world, gordians tomb, no mercy...).

most of these games were ripped off these disks (they always had a big intro and menu and so on). and golden disk used the "timex copy protection".

so, i have a disk image and i want to have this game ripped, because it doesn't work in frodo.
i tried 2 different versions (i guess, there are only 2 versions available, an original disk image and a pseudo rip of the game (it still has the golden disk menu)).

there where 3 games on that disk and the other two games were ripped, one is available as a .prg file!

so, does anyone know, how to get through this protection and rip the game?
i actually own the original disk! would it be easier to rip it from real hardware? i mean, i could get a 1541 from ebay very cheap.
if yes, please tell me how.

btw, its golden disk 9/90 and the game is "crystal fever".
